Isaac Freeman III, well known by his stage as Fatman Scoop, passed away on Friday night after collapsing onstage.

This information comes from the tour manager for Scoop, who stated on social media, “I am honestly at a loss for words… The things that you taught me have played a significant role in shaping me into the person that I am today. You brought me all over the globe and had me perform beside you on some of the most prestigious and impressive stages on the whole planet. Thank you very much, and know that I adore you.

At the time of his performance at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut, the iconic hip hop hype man looked to be experiencing a medical emergency, according to the story that was first reported by TMZ.

An upsetting video showed Scoop collapsing in the middle of his act.

Over the course of his career, the legend collaborated with a large number of prominent figures in the hip hop industry. Some of the artists he worked with include Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, and Missy Elliott, to mention just a few.

As a result of his breakdown and subsequent arrival in the hospital, Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett made a request to the community, requesting that they “please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

We have reached out to Scoop’s agent in an effort to get further information; however, we have not received any response as of yet.
