The newest project that Eminem has released elicited an emotional response from his daughter.
On the episode of her Just a Little Shady podcast that aired on August 23, the rapper, who is 51 years old and shares his daughter with his ex-wife Kim Scott, stated that some of the songs on her father’s most recent album, The loss of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), caused her to shed tears.
When asked about the music video for “Somebody Save Me” starring Jelly Roll, which was released on August 21st, Hailie, who is 28 years old, shared with her co-host Brittany Ednie, “I watched it in its entirety and I don’t think I can do it again.”
She went on to say, “I will undoubtedly shed tears each and every time I hear it at all.” “And in all honesty, Brittany was the one who played the little commercial clip today, and I was like, ‘Can you turn that down?’ She was right. What do you mean, are you trying to make me cry?'”.

An whole stanza is devoted to Hailie in the song “Somebody Save Me,” in which Eminem describes his difficulties with addiction and expresses his regret to his children, including Alaina Marie Scott, who is 31 years old, and Stevie Laine Scott, who is 22 years old. Stevie Laine Scott is also the kid that he has with his ex-fiance Kim.
During the melancholy song, he raps, “Hailie, I’m so sorry / I know I wasn’t there for your first guitar recital.” In this song, he seems to dwell on significant milestones that he may have missed owing to his drug troubles. I am very pleased of how you have turned out. I did not accompany you down the aisle. I did not see the birth of your first kid. I did not listen to your first podcast. I am looking down on you, dear.
The song, along with “Temporary” starring Skylar Grey, which the rapper said he created for Hailie and which includes recordings of her when she was a child, elicited an emotional reaction, according to Hailie, who shared this information with Ednie.
“You know, I just can’t,” she said. It is my belief that I shed tears loudly when listening to both tracks, but notably “Temporary.”
Furthermore, Hailie stated, “But I will say that after watching the video again and listening to the songs, I have the impression that my parents did such a good job when I was growing up.” “When I was younger, I didn’t put much thought into how bad things were, but now that I’m an adult and can look back on it, it’s so terrifying to think about.”

According to Hailie, this is the reason why she has such a strong emotional response while listening to the songs: “Just thinking that that could have happened.”
She continued by saying, “And obviously, that is the point of the song.” “However, I just want to say that if you have ever lost a loved one or an addict, I feel for you, and yeah, that’s how I feel about it.”
She continued by saying, “It’s a great video and it’s fun to see clips of us when we were younger like that, even ‘Mockingbird,’ but I can’t even listen to that anymore without crying.” She was considering the “Somebody Save Me” video in particular, which is comprised of home videos of Hailie and her sisters when they were children.
As Hailie added, “the older I get, the less I am able to listen to any of the songs; however, it is enjoyable to watch those clips; however, I would not recommend doing so in that particular setting.”
