The arrest of Akili McDowell has taken place. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement on Facebook on August 3 that the actor from the show Billions, who is 21 years old, had been arrested on a charge of murder in connection with the shooting loss of Cesar Peralta, who was 20 years old.

An incident that took place in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Houston, Texas, on July 20 demanded the presence of deputies who arrived to the scene. Peralta was found to have been shot many times and was subsequently declared passed at the scene. The sheriff’s office said at the time that the suspect or suspects had left the site of the crime.

It has been confirmed by ET that McDowell was taken into custody on August 1 and put into the Harris County Jail.
