Both Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are now participating in the Olympic competition.

The longstanding pair was photographed spectating at the Summer Olympics on Sunday, Aug. 4, during a rare public visit — when they checked out the dressage individual Grand Prix freestyle at the Chateau de Versailles before seeing the women’s uneven bars final at Bercy Stadium.

At the Olympic day out, both Mendes, who is 50 years old, and Gosling, who is 43 years old, donned head covers and sunglasses to protect themselves from the sun while they were competing in the equestrian sport.

While Mendes sported a sun hat provided by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) and a pair of huge white sunglasses, Ryan Gosling sported a white baseball cap with the Paris 2024 logo and clear sunglasses.

As they saw Germany win both gold and silver in the competition, the two individuals kept their day of Olympic viewing reasonably low-key by sitting behind other spectators for the most part. They did this while they watched the sporting event. To be more specific, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, a rider, emerged triumphant, while Isabell Werth, a rider from Germany, received silver, and Charlotte Fry, a rider from Great Britain, earned bronze.

Later, Gosling and Mendes were seen once again enjoying some gymnastics during the women’s uneven bars final at the Bercy Arena. According to the NBC coverage, Gosling changed his white hat for a green one, and photographs of the event were posted on X. Mendes was also seen enjoying some gymnastics.

It looked that the couple’s children, Esmeralda, who is nine years old, and Amada, who is eight years old, were also there during their gymnastics expedition.

A unusual excursion for the pair, who have not been pictured in public together for a number of years, the family vacation to Paris was a celebration of their relationship. Gosling and Mendes, who first became acquainted with one another in 2011 while working on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, have continued to show public support for one another throughout their respective career ventures.

In her most recent interview, which took place in May for the Beautiful Issue of People magazine, Mendes said that Ryan Gosling is there for her “in all the ways I need to be supported.”

Adding, “He’s got me in all the ways,” she said.

During the same interview, the actress who played the role of Girl in Progress discussed the reasons for her choice to take a break from acting in recent years in order to concentrate on raising their children. She referred to this decision as “the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”

“I was older and I knew that my kids are going to be little once, and whatever I do or don’t do right now is going to affect them the rest of their life,” Mendes said to reporters. Your job may come and go, but I can tell you that raising children was a breeze for me. Simply said, they are the formative years. My goal was to be there throughout the whole of it.

Mendes said at the time that her partner, Ryan Gosling, is the one who is responsible for the cooking, while she is the one who is in charge of the cleaning. It’s a lovely evening since I’m not a chef, so my partner cooks and I clean. It’s a good deal. I am not a good chef. She responded by saying, “You don’t want me to cook.” “My daughters are so adorable, but they are asking me, ‘Did you make these eggs, mama?'” To which I respond, “Yes, they are eggs.” This is nothing more than a typical egg. Who would meddle with eggs?

During the premiere of The Fall Guy in Los Angeles in May, Ryan Gosling expressed his gratitude to Mendes by saying that he “couldn’t be here without her.” Gosling has also been open about the support he gets from their relationship.

Later on, he said, “She is also like my acting coach.” He stated, “She is with the girls, and when she works, I stay home with the girls as well.” For me, she has really become the finest acting instructor I have ever had, and the ways in which she assists me are almost limitless.
