Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, is one lucky guy after police say he smashed his electric bicycle into a car on a busy L.A. street … TMZ has learned.

The 20-year-old was riding Monday on Los Feliz Blvd. around 5 PM — so, rush hour on a heavily trafficked street — and as he approached a red light, he rammed into the back of a car stopped at the intersection … according to law enforcement sources.

Pax, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, was reportedly checked out by the driver of the automobile, who stepped out of the vehicle to see him. When the police and paramedics came at the site, witnesses informed us that Pax was having hip discomfort and had evidently suffered a head injury. As a result, he was sent to a hospital in Los Angeles for treatment.

nearly without fail, Pax, the fourth of Angelina and Brad’s six children, has been seen riding about Los Angeles on an electric bike that resembles a BMX, and he is nearly never seen wearing a helmet.

Because the regulations governing helmets in California vary according to the kind of bicycle, it is not apparent whether or not he is required to wear one with that specific ride. The fact that a helmet would have been helpful in the accident that occurred today is unquestionable.

He has tried his hand at acting, winning a voice over job in “Kung Fu Panda 3” and an uncredited appearance in his mother’s Disney film, “Maleficent.” Pax has also tried his hand at acting.
