At the most recent New Kids on the Block performance, Jonathan Knight was able to count his fellow HGTV stars among his audience members.
During the band’s performance in Tampa on Friday, July 19, as part of their Magic Summer 2024 Tour, a number of celebrities from the network came out to show their support for the Farmhouse Fixer host.
A series of photographs from the evening were posted on Instagram by Alison Victoria. The first of these photographs was a picture of her traveling to the event with Sarah Baeumler and Taniya Nayak, who are also cast members in the play Battle on the Beach.
Immediately after that, she released a video in which she and Nayak sang along with the popular song “Step by Step” by NKOTB, which was released in 1990 and was the title track of their fourth studio album. In addition, the star of Windy City Rehab appeared for a set of photographs with Knight before the show began.
The three ladies were joined in a group photo by Brandt Andersen, who is Victoria’s new boyfriend, Bryan Baeumler, who is Sarah’s husband, and Brian O’Donnell, who is Nayak’s husband.
The event was described by Nayak as “a teenage dream come true” in her own post, and she added, “The best part (besides ALL of it) was spending time with our very own @hgtv fam!”
Mika and Brian Kleinschmidt, who are both stars of the show 100 Day Dream Home, also participated in the fun.
In the beginning of her Instagram post, Mika said, “About last Knight.” The time spent with the HGTV and NKOTB family was quite enjoyable. We all had a great time hanging out off camera, and Tampa was displaying all the love that we could possibly imagine.
In the following video, Mika can be seen dancing in the crowd, posing with Jordan Knight, who is Jonathan Knight’s brother and bandmate, and the group conversing with Paula Abdul, who is one of the special guests for the tour.
In the caption of his photo, Mika’s husband said, “Our voices are gone, our ears are still ringing, and our feet hurt, but it was so worth it.”
On his own Instagram account, Jonathan also posted a picture of the full group of HGTV stars, captioning it with the phrase, “So happy I got to see some of my HGTV friends this tour.” I adore the affection that we all have for one another.
All of the members of New Kids, including Jonathan, Jordan, Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, and Joey McIntyre, made the first announcement about their tour in October of last year.
One of the top ten most earning tours of that year was their first Magic Summer Tour, which took place from April to September of 1990.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the band, who just released Still Kids, their first complete studio album in eleven years, remembered the hectic touring pace that NKOTB had throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. Still Kids was the band’s first album to be recorded in a studio.
“In the early incarnation of New Kids, they had us on the road constantly,” stated Jonathan in response. Every single day of the year, 360 days, we would be on the road, and we would just keep going and going. You would not be able to see your family, you would not be able to see your friends, and you would not be able to sleep in your own bed. It was a lot to go through, particularly when we were little kids like that, but I don’t want it to seem like I’m complaining since we had such a fantastic experience, and we are very glad and grateful for that. However, it was also a lot to go through.
In more recent times, Jonathan and Jordan have been occupying their time with the activities of restoring a historic summer camp located in the state of New Hampshire. Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp is a new spin-off series that has been capturing the adventure that the brothers and bandmates have been on.
