He was prepared for any kind of response, but he was not prepared for the one that his wife really displayed. In a letter that he just wrote to our editorial, Sean, who is 36 years old, describes the very difficult circumstances that he is facing in his family. “I know I did something really awful and disgusting, I cheated on my wife with a client of mine,” Sean stated. “There is no way I could have done that.” My body felt as if it was operating on autopilot, and after a short period of time, I was unable to handle the guilt any longer. I don’t really know why I put myself through all of this. My affair partner was instantly severed from my life. I also terminated my association with her as a customer and transferred her contract to a colleague at my place of employment. Since that time, I have not had any communication with her. In addition, I disclosed this information to my spouse, and ever since then, I have also been participating in individual treatment.
Sean anticipated that his wife would respond with a great deal of emotion, and he was not entirely unprepared for it.
Sean said, “At first, my wife became extremely upset and depressed, and she was absolutely angry.” I was quite concerned about the ways in which she was thinking. The guy stated, “I did not find my wife’s behavior to be suspicious in any way, but there was one thing that I was unable to comprehend, and she would never explain it to me.” My research led me to discover that she began going to a doctor, namely a gynecologist, and that she did so an excessive amount of times; it was not a routine exam or anything like that. To put it another way, she went to the doctor virtually every week, and these trips began not long after I admitted to her that I had been unfaithful to her.
In an effort to alleviate his concerns over his wife’s health, Sean challenged her about the frequency with which she visited the doctor.
“I was thinking about some serious health problems that my wife might have had, and these visits did not allow me to sleep peacefully at night,” Sean stated in his letter. The fact that she had certain problems with her reproductive system is the reason why we were unable to have any children born to her. That is what I believed.
When I eventually questioned my wife about her health and her trips to the gynecologist, she grinned and then told to me that she did not have any health issues at all. This was the revelation that the guy made. Additionally, she said that she was going to the doctor because she had conferred with her about her pregnancy. When I found out that we are going to have a child, I wasn’t able to contain my excitement.
Then, however, my partner revealed a shocking revelation to me. She came clean and said that this infant was not mine. She said that she had been having an affair with another guy, similar to what I had done with another lady, and that she had become pregnant as a result of her relationship with him. During that same instant, I was able to sense how everything in my life was flipping upside down.

The guy is completely shattered, and he is grappling with a great deal of emotion around the circumstance. “I have a gut feeling that the baby is mine and that my wife had never been unfaithful to me,” he wrote. “I have a feeling that the baby is mine.” She wanted me to experience the same level of anguish that she was experiencing as a result of my agonizing confession to her, and I think that what she was saying was an act of retribution. On the other hand, what happened if she was telling the truth and the baby wasn’t really mine? What actions should I take in this circumstance? Oh, I’m torn.”
