Thursday marked the passing of Lou Dobbs, who hosted “The Great America Show.” He was 78 years old.
The loss has occurred of Lou Dobbs, who was a well-known political pundit and radio broadcaster on the right. He was 78 years old.
On Thursday, former President Donald Trump made the announcement of the passing of the conservative icon on his social media site, Truth Social. In a message, he paid tribute to Dobbs and sent his condolences to the family and friends of the former Fox News personality.
“The Great Lou Dobbs has just passed away — A friend, and truly incredible Journalist, Reporter, and Talent,” Donald Trump, who was 77, tweeted.
“He understood the world and what was ‘happening,’ better than others,” he continued and said. Lou was really special in many ways, and he had a deep love for our country. Our deepest sympathies go out to his magnificent wife, Debi, and the rest of his family. His absence will be keenly felt by everybody!
Dobbs, who made one of his last public appearances at CPAC in February, has been at the heart of multiple scandals in recent years. These disputes include his political beliefs and his opinions on controversial topics, such as Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election.
Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the commentator and former host of Lou Dobbs Tonight for Fox News Business had his program terminated after he was mentioned in a lawsuit filed by voting business Smartmatic for allegedly spreading conspiracy theories about election fraud. The case was filed for $2.7 billion.
Dobbs, along with two of his fellow Fox workers, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro, were also included in the case that was brought against Fox News Network by Dominion Voting Systems. The case was resolved in 2023, with the network paying up a staggering $787 million for the defamatory claims that were made by the defendants.
In addition, the former CNN employee played a significant role in facilitating the dissemination of allegations that former President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and that he had a forged birth certificate from Hawaii. He claimed that Barack Obama, who was 62 years old at the time, was born in Kenya and was thus ineligible to be president.

Fox News Media published a statement on Thursday that paid respect to the Harvard University graduate who had worked for the firm for more than a decade. The statement was made despite the fact that the two parties had parted ways in 2021.
“An incredible business mind with a gift for broadcasting, Lou helped pioneer cable news into a successful and influential industry,” according to the official statement. “We are immensely grateful for his many contributions and send our heartfelt condolences to his family.”
With his departure from Fox, Dobbs became the host of The Great America Show on iHeartRadio, where he remained until the year 2021, when he passed away.
Debi Lee Segura, a former sports anchor for CNN, and the couple’s four children are the only members of the media personality’s family to survive his loss.
