Bianca Censori, who is married to Kanye West, a controversial rapper, and who is also his muse and employee, is the subject of a lot of news stories due to her increasingly graphic fashion statements and marital conflict.
However, what is less well known about the Australian woman, who is 29 years old, is that she holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in architecture from the prestigious University of Melbourne. Additionally, she has worked with industry heavyweights like as Valerio Olgiati and Vincent Van Duysen.
This model’s unusual taste extends to her architectural ideas, as seen by the fact that her portfolio includes projects that are evocative of the cartoon The Flintstones, which was produced in the 1960s.
Initially, Bianca had the aspiration of becoming a sculptor; but, when she was a little child, her aunt exposed her to architecture as a medium of art, and she fell in love with architecture as an art form.
And after she had finished her education, she was offered a position at DP Toscano Architects, a prominent company located in her hometown of Melborne. However, in the year 2020, Kanye identified her as a potential candidate for the position of head of architecture for his YZY brand.
‘She certainly made an impact on Kanye West, and she made that impression because she’s truly quite brilliant,’ her former employer Joe Tuscano said in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
It was in the year 2021 that Bianca, together with her colleagues YZY architects Tanil Rahif and Ibrahim Salman, created a home in a Californian National Park that was influenced by the stone age of architecture.
It seems as if Fred Flintstone would have moved his family into the Joshua Tree Residence if he had won the jackpot in Viva Rock Vegas. The Joshua Tree Residence is characterized by a flat white slab that serves as the ceiling and is perched on top of eight enormous rock boulders.
This concept was proposed by the YZY team as a potential solution for housing that is off the grid, leased, and reasonably inexpensive.
In spite of the fact that it has the appearance of a megalithic construction, it has a contemporary feel to it because to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows that are installed between the enormous stones and the sleek furniture that are integrated into the rock.
In her portfolio, Bianca notes that her project, Stone-Age Architecture, “compels us to reimagine the built environment through a prehistoric lens” and “sparks a dialogue between the past and the present.” This is a concept that she and her team refer to as “Primitive Futurism.”
Her architectural philosophy is to accomplish the goal of having “buildings and natural elements coexist in a symbiotic relationship.” She does this with the expectation that mother nature will eventually become a part of the structure and alter it.
This kind of thinking is reflected in the Saudi Sound Stage, which is a location in the Arabian Desert that she and her design colleagues envisioned as having six sound stages and a café to accommodate guests.
It is likely that her musician husband and his pals would utilize it to organize listening parties and performances for their close friends and acquaintances.
There are just two photographs of the idea that have been taken, but from what can be seen, it seems to be a massive rock in the form of a pebble that is placed on top of stone walls. This rock provides shade to the venue, which is mostly open-plan.
‘Not only about creating a visually beautiful setting but also about expressing a narrative through design’ is what Bianca’s portfolio describes her work as being about.
This was a feeling that she reiterated when she disclosed the specifics of a new architectural design that she and Kanye had conceived of prior to the two of them being romantically connected.
They named this new style “Donda Language” after the late mother of the Flashing Lights rapper, who passed away in 2007 after a heart attack brought on by complications connected to cosmetic surgery and coronary artery disease.
She mentioned that the Donda Language is a concept that they established to convey her view of architecture as a form of storytelling in a video that has emerged. The film was taken of Bianca delivering a guest lecture at the University of Malta in 2022 about her work as an architect. She is of the opinion that each and every house need to have its own narrative and ought to have a close relationship with the people who reside in it.
Even to the dismay of Bianca West’s father, who recently asked that she and Kanye West go to Australia to address issues over her X-rated clothing, Kanye West has been accused of dictating Bianca’s style and controlling what she wears in public.
Fans said that Bianca had the same style before she married Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband and that the two of them just had a similar taste. However, old images that showed Bianca in apparel that was similarly risqué before she met Kanye went viral in the previous year.
One might also say the same thing about her early architectural sketches, which are said to have been the reason Kanye West came all the way from the other side of the world to find her artistic talent.
Not long before she was swept away to Los Angeles, Bianca had developed a concept house in the theoretical architectural style of plasticity. Plasticity is a word that is used to describe a structure that has a rich, three-dimensional or sculptural presence.
It is fitting for the lady who, in an interview that has since been removed, once said, “I have always wanted to be a sculptor, and to me, architecture is the union of art and pragmatics.” We are able to put the most magnificent creative gesture that we are capable of upon the world. I was attracted to it only because it represented a change in the artistic scale.
In order to investigate the capacity of her concept house to modify itself over time by adopting new natural qualities, she put it in a rural location. In essence, she collaborated with nature in the same manner that she does now.
