After receiving a diagnosis of seminoma cancer, Ryan Hadley, who was a star of the show Ink Master, passed away. He was 46 years old.
It was confirmed by Hadley’s family that the tattoo artist had passed away on Thursday, June 20, in a post that was made to his profile on Instagram the following day. It was his participation in the sixth season of the reality competition series Ink Master, which was shown on the Paramount Network (formerly known as Spike).
In the beginning of the news, it was said that “Ryan left this world last night surrounded by loved ones.” “Despite the fact that his life was cut short, he still left a legacy behind in the world of tattooing as well as the world of art. He loved his numerous followers, his friends, and his customers, but above all else, he cherished his children.
He is going to be remembered fondly and missed forever. A tale that will go on forever. “#rip #f—cancer,” was the last message that was sent.
In the picture that was distributed, Hadley could be seen beaming from ear to ear as he tattooed a potential client’s arm. Text that was superimposed on the photo said, “Forever a Legend, Rest in peace.”
Hadley made the first announcement in December 2023 that he had been diagnosed with seminoma cancer. According to the National Library of Medicine, seminoma cancer is a kind of cancerous germ cell tumor that is often located in the testicle.
Hadley noted that the seminoma cancer “came from testicular cancer and is a very fast moving cancer cell that seems to make tumors wherever it goes to.” This was the explanation that Hadley provided at the time. In his explanation, he said that he was scheduled to undergo chemotherapy for “approximately 122 hours,” which would consist of one week of treatment followed by two weeks of no treatment.
When he made the announcement of his illness, he also created a GoFundMe page in order to provide financial support to his family while he was away from work receiving treatment.
During the month of April, Hadley made the announcement on Instagram that the chemotherapy “turned out to be a complete failure.” He said that the malignancy, which was considered “non-treatable,” had spread to his lungs and liver.
In spite of the fact that I could be around for another week or perhaps for another three months, the fact that I will be leaving my children behind is something that breaks my heart. It is not loss that terrifies me in any way; rather, it is the fact that I am unable to do anything about the fact that I have been abandoned with my children that is the source of my frustration. To a certain point in all of this, I will keep everyone informed on the situation. According to what he posted, “I’ll be signing off very soon forever.”
In a post that was published on Instagram on June 18, Hadley’s family expressed gratitude to their fans for their support and stated that they were accepting contributions “to help pay for end-of-life expenses.”
