According to reports, a guy from the state of Maharashtra in India discovered a human finger in the ice cream that he had purchased online by accident.

A doctor named Orlem Brandon Serrao, who is 26 years old and resides in the Malad neighborhood of Mumbai, filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday after he found a fragment of a human finger in his ice cream. Serrao is a resident of Malad.

According to a report by the Indian Express, workers of Yummo Ice Cream, a company that manufactures ice cream, have been detained without being named, and more investigation is now underway.

Zepto, an online grocery delivery service in India, was the recipient of the order that Dr. Serrao’s sister placed on Wednesday morning. The order included groceries as well as Yummo ice cream, which was introduced in 2012.

There was a bit of flesh with a broken nail that was discovered by Dr. Serrao in the ice cream in the afternoon.

An app had been used to place an order for three cones of ice cream. The Yummo brand of butterscotch ice cream was one of the items that was included. Once I had consumed half of it, I saw that there was a solid chunk in my mouth. According to NDTV, Dr. Serrao was cited as stating, “I thought it could be a nut or a chocolate piece and spat it out to check what it was.”

“Because I am a medical professional, I am familiar with the appearance of many bodily parts. The nails and fingerprint imprints that were below it were brought to my attention when I studied it in great detail. To me, it looked like a thumb. “I am in a state of trauma,” he said.

According to the reports, he went to the Malad police department when the maker did not respond to his inquiry.

An employee of Yummo who has not been named has been charged with adulterating food and putting human life in risk, according to the arrest warrant filed by the police.

An officer said that the meat has been transferred to a forensic lab so that it may be determined whether or not the flesh belongs to a person or any other animal.

In reaction to the scandal, Yummo Ice Cream was described by MoneyControl as stating, “We have stopped manufacturing at this third-party facility, isolated the said product at the facility and our warehouses, and are in the process of doing the same at the market level.” This statement was made in response to the controversy. Because we place the utmost importance on the quality and safety of our products, we were already in the process of addressing the matter. During this time, the situation became more serious, and the customer filed a formal complaint with the police.
