The law declared Gerry Turner a bachelor again when he divorced Theresa Nist in record time.

New legal documents acquired by TMZ show that the ‘Golden Bachelor’s divorce case has been finalized and signed, sealed, and delivered in Indiana. The documents reveal a simple divorce decree was filed Thursday.

Gerry filed divorce papers on April 12 and a change of residence a few days later. Two months later… it’s finished.

Gerry and Theresa didn’t have children, and their prenup seem to have sped up their divorce. They married in January, so they were only wedded for a few months.

In terms of the reasons why they parted ways, it seems as if they were unable to reach a consensus over the location of their new home. They were not willing to move for one other since Theresa resided in New Jersey and Gerry lived in Indiana. Both of them were unwilling to relocate for the other. In the end, they came to the conclusion that it would be better for them to go their own ways.

Obviously, everything is somewhat startling, particularly considering that their wedding was shown on television throughout the country.

In addition, Gerry was the first ever “Golden Bachelor,” and a lot of people were hopeful that their age and maturity would result in a relationship that would continue because of their connection. Ultimately, it was one of the shortest of all of them.
