According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, BJ Thompson, a reserve defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, is still unconscious after experiencing a seizure and then falling into cardiac arrest at a team meeting on June 6.
Chris Turnage, the agent for the Chiefs player, who is 25 years old, told Pelissero on Thursday evening, “BJ is still unconscious at this point, but he is stable and vitals are good.” His family begs that you continue to pray for them right now.
During a team meeting that took place on Thursday, June 6, at the Chiefs’ training facility, it was alleged that Thompson had a seizure and fell into cardiac arrest. It was Pelissero who broke the news to the public initially.
When Pelissero first said that the Chiefs had canceled their practice on Thursday, he did not explicitly name Thompson as the player in question. On the other hand, the first report simply disclosed that a defensive lineman who was serving as a backup on the team had experienced a seizure and had gone into cardiac arrest.
This information was provided to the insider by a source following the first story, who said that Thompson was in stable condition on Thursday afternoon.

During a “special teams meeting” that took place at the practice facility on Thursday, Thompson started experiencing seizures, and several sources informed Pelissero that the Chiefs’ medical personnel “immediately” reacted to the emergency situation.
The media availability that was supposed to take place on Thursday, involving head coach Andy Reid and a few players, has been moved to Friday, June 7, according to a statement that was published on NFL.com.
OTA summer activities are now being conducted by the Chiefs. These practices consist of exercises but do not include any contact plays. According to CBS, the Chiefs will begin their obligatory minicamp on June 11 and continue until June 13.
It has been less than a week after the backup lineman, Thompson, joined his colleagues Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce on the Chiefs’ visit to the White House on May 31. Thompson is now experiencing a medical issue right now.
With the description, “Posted at the White House got me feeling like the president,” Thompson uploaded photographs that he had taken inside the iconic building in Washington, District of Columbia.
Following his selection in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Thompson has participated in one game for the National Football League’s team that won consecutive championships.
