Shiloh Jolie, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has officially requested that her name be changed to just Shiloh Jolie. This request was submitted to the court.

Shiloh Jolie, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, submitted a request to have her famous father’s surname removed from her own last name that she received last week. According to reports, the actor, who won an Academy Award, is reportedly having a difficult time coping with the emotional turmoil that is occurring inside his family.

The following is a statement made by a source to ET: “Brad has always loved being a father and loves his children.”

“This situation is upsetting to him,” according to the information provided, “and he recognizes that things have been difficult for him and the whole family.”

According to a person acquainted with the situation, Shiloh submitted a motion to the court on May 27, the day she turned 18, asking for permission to remove her father’s surname from her own hyphenated surname. Additional information was provided by the source, who said that the young lady is demanding a new legal name in the hopes of being referred to as “Shiloh Jolie,” rather than “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.”

Among the three children that Brad and Angelina have together, they have three biological children, including Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox, who are 15 years old. In addition, they have three adoptive children: boys Maddox, 22, and Pax, 20, and daughter Zahara, 19.

After appearing in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith together and after the actor filed for divorce from his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, Brad and Angelina started dating in the year 2005. These events occurred simultaneously.

Angelina filed for divorce in 2016, after what is said to have been a fight that occurred when the pair was traveling with their children. The couple had legally tied the knot in 2014, but the dissolution of their partnership occurred in 2016. Since then, the two have been going through a protracted court struggle with one other.

“Brad has made a tremendous effort to grow and learn from all of his experiences,” according to the information provided to ET. “He would love to find a way to continue to do this, repair things with his kids, and for everyone to get to a better place.”

It would seem that Shiloh is not the only one of Brad’s children who has made the decision to remove their father’s surname from their family name. The Broadway production of The Outsiders was recently co-produced by her younger sister, Vivienne, who was also billed as “Vivienne Jolie.” Her famous mother was also a co-producer of the original play.

In addition, Zahara just became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She identified herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” at an event that was held for the purpose of the introduction ceremony.

On the other hand, it would seem that Shiloh is the first of their children to submit proper documentation in order to officially alter their surname.

Angie has not responded to the request to change her name, and a source close to the situation told Entertainment Tonight (ET) last week that “Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak for it.” Angelina has not discussed the request to alter her name.
