Working out with leather leggings and combat boots, Lenny Kravitz has been seen on many occasions.
There is a straightforward justification that Lenny Kravitz provides for why he exercises in leather rather than leggings.

Kravitz brought Zane Lowe into his house in Paris for a new interview with Apple Music on Friday. The purpose of the discussion was to discuss Lowe’s previously published album, Blue Electric Light, which was released on May 24. However, the rock musician also discussed the reasons for his habit of going to the gym while dressed in street clothes.

“I don’t care what I’m wearing,” remarked the father of Zoë Kravitz, who was previously married to Lisa Bonet. I’ve been working out in every possible way. As opposed to that, if I’m going to be doing cardio, I’m going to wear something that allows me to sweat. Certainly. When I am doing weights, I end up sweating less than usual. When I show up, I am a reflection of who I am.

Or, to put it another way, if the fashionable sixty-year-old knows that he won’t be sweating, then he will exercise in the clothes that he is currently wearing.

Continuing, Kravitz said, “And it’s funny because I also train with professional athletes, including players from the National Football League, major league baseball, wrestlers, and boxers.” When they see me coming in, they will laugh because I will be wearing jeans, boots, and one of those shirts that my daughter speaks about saying was amazing. We are going to go to the gym with him wearing it, since it is like that. And after that, I wipe out.”

The singer of “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over,” who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, provided his response to a video that went viral showing him working out while wearing leather leggings and combat boots. The interview took place earlier this month and was conducted by Variety.

With the exception of when I’m doing cardio, I always work out wearing leather trousers, jeans, boots, and anything else I happen to be wearing. The artist responded to the publication by saying, “If I’m going to be doing cardio, it goes without saying that I’m going to be sweating all over the place, so I’m going to wear sweatpants.” “But if I’m lifting weights, I don’t sweat so much.”

As part of his strenuous workout regimen, Kravitz wore a tank top that was see-through in the video that went viral. At the Equinox Hudson Yards in New York City, a fitness instructor saw him doing heavy weighted situps while wearing a see-through top, black leather trousers, and a pair of black boots. He was also wearing a pair of black boots.

In order to clarify why he is not the kind of person to waste time, Kravitz said, “I simply don’t care. I am going to stop by, I have forty-five minutes, we are going to get started, and then I am going to dash off to the place where I am going. I don’t do it for the sake of impact. I didn’t do it with the intention of saying, “Oh, let me be just so different and wear leather pants and glasses.” No, it’s just me going in off the street.

He is unconcerned about what other people think. “I know what I’m doing.” Kravitz resumed his statement. In addition, my trainer is competent in his field. Additionally, I am aware of my body, including what it is capable of doing, what it does, and how it feels, and everything is OK.
