During the sentence of Michelle Troconis, the lady who was found guilty of assisting Fotis Dulos in the murder of their mother in 2019, the children of Jennifer Dulos expressed their opinions.
Troconis was given a sentence of twenty years in jail on the 31st of May by the court. Following her conviction in March for conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence, and impeding the prosecution, she is scheduled to be freed after serving a sentence of fourteen and a half years, with the possibility of a probationary period of five years. This news comes from numerous publications, including ABC News and the local Connecticut Fox station WTIC.
As part of their victim impact statements, some of Jennifer’s loved ones (including her friends and her five children) addressed Troconis and Judge Kevin Randolph directly about the deceased mother during the sentencing process. These remarks were made in reference to the deceased mother.
Theodore Dulos, who was 13 years old at the time of his mother’s disappearance, told the court that his mother was the “best mom I could ever ask for.” This statement was made after his mother returned home after dropping him and his brothers off at school.
According to the audio from Law & Crime, he said, “She was the brightest light, a shining star, and the most selfless person you would have ever met.” “My life is completely different from what it was in the past. My mother, who was my idol, is no longer with me. It’s the last time I’ll ever speak to her. I will never again collaborate with her on my schoolwork. In the future, I will never again seek her counsel.

Continuing his conversation with Troconis, Theodore proceeded by saying, “Imagine this: you wake up tomorrow and your daughter is gone, and you will never see her again.” Troconis was referred to by her first name. On May 24, 2019, Jennifer’s mother, Gloria Farber, had this nightmare for the first time. Can you imagine a scenario in which it was not your daughter or your sister Daniella who vanished without a trace?
Later on, the adolescent said, “Five children have lost their mother.” “You, Michelle, are to blame for this devastation. On May 24, 2019, you not only knew about the murder of a daughter, sister, friend, and mother of five children, but you also plotted to carry out the murder. On that day, you removed the source of comfort for five children, in addition to being our guardian… In the event that you possess even the tiniest amount of empathy, I would like to ask that you explain to all of us precisely what took place on that day and where my mother is.
“I’ll never forgive you… and until you give us more answers, you’ll be considered evil, violent, and most definitely a coward,” he also stated at one point in his message, according to ABC News. He repeated this assertion at a point in the statement.
There is a belief among the authorities that the deceased father of the children murdered his wife and then dumped her corpse with Troconis’ assistance. Following his loss, Fotis Dulos took his own life in January of 2020, just before to a bail hearing.
In front of the judge, Petros Dulos, who was also 13 years old at the time of his mother’s loss, expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that he would “never know the man I could have become if my mom was still here to guide me.”
“I want to end with a lesson my mom taught me, leave everything the same or better than you found it,” he remarked with conviction. “Michelle Troconis, you did the opposite and you should be punished.”
Christiane Dulos, Jennifer’s daughter, who was ten years old when her mother passed away, testified in court that Troconis was “the reason I feel completely lost and alone on nights when I cannot sleep.” She also stated that Troconis was “the reason kids at school look at me with pity, the reason my teachers say ‘guardians’ and not ‘parents,'” as reported by ABC News.
“The reason I’ve had to sit on the bathroom floor with my little sister and try my best to comfort her,” she said further. “I had no choice but to pay a visit to my father in the hospital because I was aware of what he had done and that he had made the decision to abandon us. The reason I no longer have the feeling that I have a genuine beginning, a place to always return to, and parents to whom I will always belong is because of her.
Noelle, who was eight years old at the time of her disappearance, said that she felt “betrayed by Michelle” and that it “scares me to put my trust in other people.” Jennifer’s abduction occurred when Noelle was eight years old.
Troconis reportedly made a short statement to the court, expressing her “deeply saddened by this tragedy that has affected so many lives.” This information was reported by ABC News.
“I found out things before and during trial about a man, Fotis Dulos, I thought I knew and loved,” according to her testimony. My worst regret is that I ever had the opportunity to be in a relationship with Fotis Dulos… I am going to keep praying for those who have suffered and those who are currently suffering.
A friend of the Dulos family named Carrie Luft had previously said in a statement that the family was thankful for the guilty judgment that Troconis received earlier this year. However, the family was also concerned about Jennifer’s whereabouts after she was pronounced legally passed.
