Despite having a star-studded cast, the new film “IF” starring Ryan Reynolds is not doing well at the box office. It is likely that the film has a large number of people who are attending it in their imaginations.
According to Deadline, the film generated just $10.3 million on Friday, which includes the earnings from previews. Additionally, it is expected to have a mere $30 million opening weekend, which is lower than the early predictions that were forecast.
Furthermore, another bad aspect of the innovative new film is that reviewers seem to want it to vanish like a child’s IF when they grow up. Despite the fact that it has an all-star ensemble, the film presently has a startlingly low rating of 49% on Rotten Tomatoes.
To be fair, viewers are quite enthusiastic about the film; it has received an audience score of 84% on Reddit, which indicates that they are, at the very least, pleased with the final result.

As a side note, De.adline is advising executives in the film business not to freak out since Paramount has decided to take a risk on the project. Although it is true that live-action films with a PG rating do not often earn a lot of money and that reviewers do not generally like them, they do occupy a certain niche that typically leads to success over the long run.
The story of “IF” follows Cal (Reynolds), a guy who, after the Imaginary Friends have grown up, assists them in reuniting with the children who created them. Steve Carell, Emily Blunt, Awkwafina, Blake Lively, Vince Vaughn, Matt Damon, and a whole bunch of other actors and actresses are featured in the film, which was directed by John Krasinski, who also starred in it.

With such a superb ensemble, it is obvious that the film has to generate a lot of money in order to recover its budget, which Dea.dline estimates to be somewhere around 110 million dollars.
The producers, on the other hand, may only need to preserve their optimism and continue to believe in “IF.”
