It is not necessary for difficult individuals to be on set with Eva Longoria!
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, which took place in the L’Oréal Paris suite at Hôtel Martinez during the Cannes Film Festival in France, the former cast member of Desperate Housewives, who is now 49 years old, expressed her reasons for approaching new projects by first taking into consideration her group of close friends.
The actress adds, “I want to work with people I love,” listing friends and fellow actors Kerry Washington and Gabrielle Union, with whom she has planned projects. “I want to work with people I love,” she continues.

The technique by which she determines what to work on next is referred to as “reverse engineering,” and she continues by saying, “Life is too short to work with a———, and I’d much rather be surrounded by people I love, and creatives that I respect.”
The star of the forthcoming dramatization of Land of Women, which will be available on AppleTV+, has said that she first examines the individuals with whom she would want to work, and then she looks for projects that would be beneficial for all parties involved.
According to what Longoria says to individuals, “It’s the people and their vision and what they bring to it more than the actual project” that will get her on set instead than the actual project.
Her wish list includes a number of directors and producers with whom she would be thrilled to collaborate in the future.
“Édgar Ramírez, I want to work with so badly,” the presenter of Searching for Mexico adds, alluding to the Emilia Perez actor, whose film, which just opened at Cannes and also included Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana, was a collaboration between those two actors.

The longstanding ambassador for L’Oréal Paris has said that she will “develop projects around that idea” and that they will ultimately be working together on something. This is in accordance with her creative approach. “Like, ‘Okay, if I want to work with Carmen Maura, what would be a good vehicle for that?'” she went on to clarify.
There is little doubt that Longoria has been juggling a significant number of projects as of late. Recently, the director of Flamin’ Hot made an announcement about a Mexican cookbook. He will also be hosting the forthcoming series Searching for Spain on CNN. Additionally, he will be appearing on the next season of the popular comedy series Only Murders in the Building on Hulu.
