As Bob Saget celebrates his birthday, John Stamos and the other cast members of Full House are paying tribute to the late actor.

On Friday, May 17, Stamos, who is sixty years old, posted a touching tribute on social media in honor of his late friend and co-star, who would have been celebrating his 68th birthday as of today.

The birthday wishes for Bob. “We were gathering for his funeral when this photograph was taken,” the caption started.

Full House cast members Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure were shown in the black-and-white shot that was posted on Instagram. Stamos was seen standing among the group. Additionally, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are twins, made a rare appearance of their own.

Additionally, the creator of Full House, Jeff Franklin, was there, in addition to the actors that appeared on the program.

Stamos continued in his caption by saying, “Even though Bob wasn’t physically present, his spirit was unmistakably present, enveloping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears.”

It was seen that the group was posing together while each individual was leaning on a big statue of Dumbo. This photograph was shot at Stamos’ home, as shown by an Instagram post that was published in April 2021 and included the same monument.

The weight of his absence and the strength of the link that he fostered among us were both felt by each and every one of us on that particular day. Stamos explained that Bob was the one who embodied the core of our “Full House” family.

He continued by saying, “His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, (on Dumbo) in the gentle ways that we supported one another, echoing the love that he always extended.” We honored a life that was a genuine blessing to each and every one of us.

Mary-Kate and Ashley, who is now 37 years old, were renowned for playing the character of Michelle Tanner on Full House from 1987 to 1995. Mary-Kate was just a few months old at the time.

Nevertheless, when Fuller House, a spin-off that depicted the Tanner sisters as adults, made its premiere in 2016, the twins made the decision not to reprise their roles.

It was on an episode of the podcast And That’s What You REALLY Missed that took place in May 2023 that Stamos acknowledged that he had been “angry” at the time over their choice.

“When I was working on Fuller House, they were not interested in returning. “And for a brief moment, I was filled with rage,” Stamos said at the time. “That was able to escape.”

He continued by saying that Saget had been “very instrumental” in maintaining the cohesiveness of the cast. According to Stamos, one of the good outcomes that resulted from Saget’s passing was that it brought the twins and the rest of the family back together.

Furthermore, Stamos made a joke about the females coming to see him at his house at a later time and bringing “a pork chop and sage.”
