Having been married for more than a decade, Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins have finally found a way to make their relationship work.
In an interview with People magazine at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, the 34-year-old country musician revealed his secret to success with Lauren, whom he married in October of 2012.
“Lauren is the exceptional one. “I believe full transparency to be the most important thing,” he said. I believe that it is important to communicate with one another about how you feel about whatever it is. That has been of great assistance to us… this autumn marks the 12th anniversary of our marriage.
Before getting back together as adults, the pair had their first encounter while they were in elementary school. They went on a short dating relationship when they were in high school.
Willa Gray, who is eight and a half years old, Ada James, who is six and a half years old, Lennon Love, who is four years old, and Lillie Carolina, who is two and a half years old, are their kids.
In reference to his daughters, Thomas Rhett said, “Everybody’s good.” It’s almost as if they’re sprouting up like weeds and participating in every sport you can think of for them. On the other hand, these are wonderful times, and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of them. Therefore, this one is for them since they always like watching me on television.
On Mother’s Day, Thomas Rhett posted a heartfelt message on Instagram in which he not only thanked his own mother and grandmother, but also paid particular tribute to Lauren, who is 34 years old.

This will be the first time that the artist has performed his new song “Beautiful as You” live, and it will take place at the American Country Music Awards.
The song is the first track to be published from his forthcoming seventh studio album, which is scheduled to be released in the month of August. According to what he shared with PEOPLE, he intends to release a new song on a monthly basis till then.
