It was upsetting to Tom Brady to see how his children were impacted by his Netflix roast.
Recently, during a visit on the most recent edition of The Pivot Podcast, the 46-year-old father of three children shared his thoughts on the comedy special that was shown on Sunday, May 5.
According to the former National Football League player, “I loved it when the jokes were about me because I thought they were so fun.” “I didn’t like the way that affected my kids. So it’s the hardest part about, like, the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.”
When he agreed to conduct the roast, the former quarterback said that he did not originally see the “full picture” of the situation.
“I wanted to do the roast because the guy Jeff Ross became someone that I knew, and then you just don’t see the full picture all the time. So I think it’s a good lesson for me as a parent. I’m going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it, and at the same time, I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun,” he said in conclusion.
Brady also out that professional players “love laughing in the locker room,” subsequently saying, “Let’s do more of that and love each other and come on man, celebrate other people’s success. That, to me, gives everyone a lot of hope.”

Gisele Bundchen, the former wife of the NFL great, is the mother of his son Benjamin, who is 14 years old, and his daughter Vivian, who is 11 years old. Jack, who is sixteen years old, is his son with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
There were a number of jokes that were said throughout the roast that made reference to Brady and Bundchen’s divorce in October 2022 as well as her connection with Joaquim Valente, a jiu-jitsu teacher located in Miami.
A source informed People that Bundchen, who is 43 years old, was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show.” This statement was made after the event which took place.
“As always, [Bündchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted,” according to the information provided.
