On the Paramount+ network, Frasier is making his return to the building!
Paramount+ is getting ready to welcome Frasier back into the fold for its second season!
In February of 2024, the streaming service made the announcement that the revival series has been renewed for a second season. The series saw Kelsey Grammer’s return to the titular character of Dr. Frasier Crane as he moved on to the next phase of his life.
“Kelsey made a triumphant return as one of the most iconic and beloved characters on television,” Paramount+ Executive Vice President of Programming Jeff Grossman said in a statement. “Kelsey’s return was a triumphant return.” The new series brought Frasier to the attention of a whole new generation while also reminding fans of Kelsey’s depiction of Dr. Crane, which has a really timeless quality. Excitedly, we are looking forward to seeing what the talented actors and creative team have in store for the second season.
“Frasier is a love story, and I am very happy that we will be allowed to continue it,” said Grammer, who also acts as an executive producer on the sitcom. “I could not be happier.” “I’m delighted that our partners at CBS Studios and Paramount+ are on board for another season, and I canât wait for the fans to see what we have in store!”
In May of 2024, production for the second season of the program began, and the show shared a video of Grammer coming on set on a bicycle, eager to record some new episodes.
Frasier made his way back to his old Cheers stomping ground in Boston during the first season of the revival. He was confronted with new obstacles, new connections to cultivate, and an old ambition or two that he was ultimately able to realize. Among the new cast members were Jack Cutmore-Scott, who portrays Freddy, Frasier’s adult son, and Anders Keith, who plays Frasier’s nephew David. David is the son of Niles Crane, played by David Hyde Pierce, and Daphne Moon, played by Jane Leeves.
According to Grammer, “He is not the same guy anymore,” as said in the exclusive behind-the-scenes peek that ET provided in advance of the launch of the program in October 2023. “Not only is he a bit more experienced, but he could even be a little more humorous, since he is ready to laugh at himself now. If he were to become a bit more self-aware, he would have a second purpose in life.
ET is providing a glimpse at the cast, which includes both familiar faces from the original series and newbies to the franchise, as well as information on the launch date, images, and other data. This comes as news about the second season continues to be disclosed.
