Hilary Duff is really smitten with her brand-new baby bubble!
On Tuesday, May 7, the 36-year-old actress from How I Met Your Father posted a cute snapshot to her Instagram Stories in which she can be seen holding her newborn daughter, Townes, whom she and her husband Matthew Koma received on Friday, May 3.
Within the frame of the adorable photograph, Duff was seen smiling and gazing up as she held the infant on her chest. To the picture, she scribbled, “Townsie gahhh,” over the image.
During the time when Townes was wearing a green onesie that was printed with vivid graphics, she was seen dozing off on her mother’s chest.
Duff’s message was published only a few hours after she made the announcement on Instagram that she had given birth to her fourth child. “Townes Meadow Bair 🧸, now we know why she made us wait for such a long time,” she captioned the image, which included photographs of her own water birth that took place at home. She was working hard to polish those cheeks!
Over the last five days, I have been getting to know you, staring at you, and smelling you, and it has been pure magic. I have been dreaming of having you in my arms for months, and these moments have been pure magic. Every single one of us loves you as if you’ve been here the whole time, beautiful,” Duff said.
Mae James, age 3, and Banks Violet, age 5, are the respective kids of Duff and Koma, who married the wedding in 2019. Duff and Koma are both 36 years old. Other than that, Duff is a mother to her son Luca Cruz, who is twelve years old and is shared with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
Over the course of the previous month, the former Lizzie McGuire published a number of photographs on Instagram that showed her family of five after they had welcomed their new member. The photo was accompanied with a message that said, “Some random pictures of the five of us before that changes foreverrrrr.”

Several days before to the release of the photographs, Duff sent a message to her Instagram Stories in which she disclosed that she would no longer be responding to direct messages or texts about “when baby is coming.”
I am aware that everyone is checking in with a sense of humor and affection; but, believe me when I say that nobody wants it more than I do!!!! Whenever they are ready, babies will arrive. As she stated, “I am doing everything in my power to be patient.” “The days are drawn out and miserable. Assurance that I will keep you updated.
Through their family Christmas card, which featured a picture of her cradling her tummy in December 2023, Duff disclosed that she and Koma were expecting their third kid together when they were expecting their third child together.
“What a far cry from peaceful evenings. The front of the card said, “Love, the Duff-Bair-Comrie Crew,” while the reverse of the card wrote, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more as a member of this crazy bunch!”
