According to sources, Prince Harry will not be staying in any formal royal palace when he returns to the United Kingdom for an event related to the Invictus Games the following week. Instead, he will be staying in a hotel.

As part of an event to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Games, Harry will make his way back to his native land and deliver a speech at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. A great deal of speculation has been made regarding the possibility that the Duke of Sussex will meet with his family while he is in the United Kingdom. This is a topic that is of particular interest given that both King Charles and Kate Middleton have been diagnosed with cancer this year. However, according to the Daily Mirror, no senior members of the royal family will be present at the event that has been mentioned.

In the summer of 2023, Harry and Meghan Markle were evicted from their home in the United Kingdom, which was known as Frogmore Cottage. Readers may recall that they were forced to surrender their residence.

That change is claimed to be the reason why the Sussexes have not returned to the United Kingdom as a family since then. Due to the fact that it was made apparent that Harry and Meghan would be responsible for arranging their own security for any prospective visit, both Harry and Meghan have expressed concerns about their own safety.

During Harry’s most recent trip over the Atlantic, which occurred in the immediate aftermath of his father’s cancer diagnosis, the meeting between his father and son was brief. However, Harry continues to travel across the Atlantic. After having his desire to remain at Windsor Castle denied, it was believed that Harry stayed in a hotel in London instead.

An absence of notice was given by the Royal Family as the basis for the refusal on that particular occasion, which occurred in September of 2023.

On the other hand, it is anticipated that Prince Harry will once again stay in a hotel, despite the fact that this time around there will be a longer notice period before to his journey to London. Meghan Markle, who is married to Prince Harry, will not be accompanying him; rather, she will choose to stay in the United States in order to get ready for the couple’s unofficial tour of Nigeria.

Charlotte Griffiths, the Royal Editor for the Mail on Sunday, believes that the fact that Harry will not be accompanied by his family may be having a significant impact on him.

She went on to add that “it’s a really important part of Harry’s soul,” and that it is the kind of thing that he would want his wife and possibly even his children by his side for.

“Meghan is leaving him there by himself, and I just think he is going to paint a really lonely picture of a man who is without his friends around him, without his family, and without senior members of the Royal Family,” she said. And there was no wife present with him at the time.”

It is interesting to note that earlier this week, reports stated that King Charles has expressed his desire to meet with his son once more, and that the possibility of “reconciling” is even being considered.

“The King has always kept the door open to Harry, but that does not necessarily mean that he would invariably get a warm reception,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said in an interview with The Sun newspaper.

He went on to say, “It will take its time.” Nevertheless, it is undeniable that the circumstance has undergone unexpected shifts over the past few weeks. Depending on how you understand the term “reconcile,” I don’t believe it would be that difficult to do. Before Harry is able to bring Meghan and the children over, I believe there is still a significant amount of time left.
