For as long as Paige Robison, Josh Davila’s wife, can remember, he has always made sure to have a mustache and beard on his face.
It had been over five years since he had a clean face, and it was shortly after he and Robison had brought their daughter, Wren, into the world.
As soon as Davila took the extraordinary choice to shave his whole head once again, Robison made it a point to record the moment when their daughter, who was four years old at the time, noticed his new appearance. Her affectionate response did not fail to meet expectations; in fact, it caused her father to shed tears.

Robison uploaded a video on TikTok that has now gone viral, in which she captured footage of the unexpectedly emotional encounter. The video begins with Wren’s mouth falling at the sight of her father’s shirtless face.
“Are you able to kiss me?” she inquired in the video, laughing together with her parents for the first time. Davila knelt down to give his daughter a peck on the cheek, and she continued by saying, “It feels so soft.”
Wren continued to express her admiration for Dad’s silky skin, and his eyes welled up with tears whenever she referred to him as “so beautiful.”
She told PEOPLE that she had anticipated that her ever-enthusiastic child would express some support for Davila’s new appearance. “Our daughter is the type of kid that hypes everyone up,” she says. However, neither parent anticipated that Wren would be so effusive in her admiration of Davila’s new face.
Robison was less startled by her husband’s tears since, according to her, Davila has never been shy to exhibit his feelings, particularly when it comes to their daughter. Robison’s daughter is the reason for this.
“From the very beginning, Wren has been causing him to shed tears over his feelings for her,” she said. “However, I must confess that I was not anticipating him to shed tears in the manner in which he did when she referred to him as lovely. My guess is that we were both simply hoping for a solid chuckle!

The TikTok video received over 268,000 likes and 1.8 million watchers in only one day after it was uploaded to the platform. Social media users raced to the comments section to express their gratitude for the pure family moment. They complimented Wren and praised Robison and Davila for being wonderful parents.
A commenter made the following observation: “The fact that she sees the beauty in her daddy, regardless of the circumstances, indicates that you guys have raised her to see the beauty in everything she encounters!”
Robison claims that she has gotten “nothing but positive” reaction, and according to her, she has been affected by the sincere response that her audience has given to the 42-second film.
The fact that someone remarked that the video made them feel as if it was helping them repair their inner kid is something that will stay with me,” Robison says in an interview with PEOPLE. The idea that a sweet moment that we opted to film of our daughter might have such a profound effect on other people is something that is really meaningful to us.
