During their evening out in honor of the actress, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban dressed to the nines, and for the very first time, their teenage children accompanied them on the red carpet.
At the 49th Annual Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala, which took place on Saturday, April 27, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, the Bombshell star was given the opportunity to shine as she was acknowledged for her achievements.
Kidman, who is 56 years old, posed with her husband on the red carpet while wearing a customized version of a Balenciaga Fall 24 fitting gown that was embroidered in gold sequins. Her husband, on the other hand, donned a black suit with black silk lapels, a white shirt, a black tie, and black boots.
A number of members of the family were there, including Sunday, who was 15 years old, and Faith, who was 13 years old. Sunday wore a flowery strapless gown, while Faith wore a beautiful coral dress. In addition, the actress’s niece, Sybella Hawley, who is also the daughter of Kidman’s sister Antonia, stood with the family of four while wearing a crimson gown that included a corset top and a silk skirt that was draped.
During her victory speech, the actress lauded Urban, who is 56 years old, her two children, and her family as a whole. She said that there was a “enormous amount of luck in my life,” but she also mentioned that “there’s also the most important thing, love.”
Huge, enormous love. And then there is the love of my life, as well as the other loves of my life, right there there. It is the first time that my children, Sunday and Faith, have ever been seen in public with me on a red carpet. Tonight was their first night, therefore they are here with me.

Kidman said that her mother was not there at the event, and she continued by saying, “But they said there’s a live stream available for her, and she’s watching it, so I hope, and that’s what I love about technology.” “And my papa, who is not physically present, but I feel him every day.”
“And then there are all of my nieces and nephews, as well as my sister, my lovely aunt, and her husband, who are now a part of our family. And in all honesty, I am, and I love you so much, because you are the reason for all of this. Therefore, as the saying goes, there is no place like home. You serve as my home. She proceeded by saying, “And I want to thank you for flying from the other side of the world.”
While Kidman, who is 56 years old, was receiving the prize, she was surrounded by friends and colleagues who paid respect to her performance. Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep, who both starred with Nicole Kidman in the television series Big Little Lies, as well as her close friend Naomi Watts and Morgan Freeman, who collaborated with Kidman on the television series Lioness, were among the guests.
The American Film Institute has been bestowing the AFI Life Achievement Award on a person since 1973. According to the website of the organization, the award is given to a person “whose career in motion pictures has greatly contributed to the enrichment of American Culture.”
A video of Kidman, who was just 14 years old when she played her first role, Helen in Bush Christmas in 1983, was recently uploaded to Instagram as part of Kidman’s reflections on her career. Within the caption, she pondered on the accolade that she had received from the AFI.
“This 14 year old girl could have never predicted all the talented people she would get to work with and the many different characters she would get to play 😱,” she said in the description of the photograph.
“So excited to celebrate with so many friends and peers on Saturday with the @AmericanFilmInstitute xx.”
