Although it is not always simple to find a place to live in New York City, the city is full with hidden and iconic treasures for those who are able to afford them. One of these gems is a location that is about as “New York, New York” as it gets. The townhouse on the Upper East Side that was formerly owned by Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow is now up for sale. The mansion dates back to the 19th century.

Zillow describes the house on East 61st Street as “a piece of history,” and this description is not without merit.

“Once owned by the legendary Frank Sinatra himself during his marriage to actress Mia Farrow,” according to the property’s description. “…Held within the family since Sinatra’s tenure, this distinguished townhouse presents a rare opportunity for restoration and renewal in the Treadwell Farm Historic District.”

Nevertheless, hold on, the “best is yet to come.” Every person who lives in New York is aware that space is a premium, and this location offers a great deal of it.

There are more than ten rooms in the Upper East Side property, which includes four bedrooms, four and a half baths, and garden space, and the ad states that the home is four floors tall and has more than three thousand seven hundred feet of area. Another 933 feet of space may be found on the bottom floor of the house.

Additionally, the description states that the townhouse was first constructed in the year 1872. After that, in 1919, the mansion was remodeled by the architect Frederick Sterner, who, according to The New York Times, was famous for giving whole blocks makeovers in the early 1900s. According to the statement made in the advertisement, this townhouse “exemplifies timeless elegance and architectural distinction.”

The price tag for such sophistication and distinction is, of course, rather high. The price of the townhouse is advertised as little less than $4.5 million.

It was in 1964 when Farrow was 19 years old and Sinatra was over 50 years old that the pair first met, as reported by People magazine. In 1966, they tied the knot in Las Vegas, but their marriage was only able to continue for a total of two years. On the set of “Rosemary’s Baby,” Farrow was issued with divorce papers while she was working on the picture. Despite this, they continued to be close until his passing in the year 1998.

Sinatra might “possibly” be the father of Ronan Farrow, according to Farrow, who made this statement in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2013. In addition, when she was asked whether Sinatra had been the “great love” of her life, she responded with a very brief and straightforward affirmation: “Yes.”
