According to the allegations, Jonathon Candy, who is 42 years old, began by shooting and killing his wife. He then “hunted down and killed” three of their children, but he did not damage their son, who was 10 years old.

The only person to survive a murder-suicide in Oklahoma City is a little child who is only ten years old. He is the one who called 9-1-1 after emerging from his sleep to discover that his whole family had been murdered.

At some point before 9:30 on Monday morning, the youngster contacted the police to report that “everyone inside the house appeared to be de.ad,” as Sergeant Gary Knight revealed in a news conference on Tuesday. The tragic event had place at some point before that time.

An investigation revealed that the father of the boy, 42-year-old Jonathon Candy (pictured), “became involved in an altercation” with his wife Lindsay, 39, before arming himself with a gun and shooting her “multiple times, killing her.” When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered five people inside the house who were “beyond saving.”

According to Knight, who said that all three of the children that were killed were the children of the couple, “at that point, he went through the home shooting and killing their children in a series of systematic manner.” According to a news statement issued by the Oklahoma City Police Department, the victims consisted of Lindsay and her three kids, Dylan, who was 18 years old, Ethan, who was 14 years old, and Lucas, who was 12 years old.

“The child who had called 9-1-1 was the only one who was discovered unharmed,” the statement said. Because the boy’s father took his own life after the murders, Knight stated, “We don’t know why he was left unharmed.” He went on to remark that this is a question that nobody will ever likely know the answer to, as the boy’s father committed himself.

It is not known what prompted him to walk through the house and murder the children and other family members. However, there is no denying the fact that the events that took place at that house would be described as nothing less than a massacre, as stated by Knight, who also said that the children were “hunted down and killed.”

According to Knight, the boy who managed to survive the alleged rampage committed by his father “apparently had been asleep” throughout the incident, and then “woke up and discovered what had happened.” In an interview with ABC News, Knight said that the door to the boy’s bedroom was closed at the time, and that he was operating a box fan inside the room. “There is no indication he didn’t sleep through it,” according to the doctor.

The remains of Lindsay and one of the children were discovered downstairs, according to the police, while the bodies of the other two were discovered by the police upstairs. Within the confines of their bed, at least one of the youngsters was shot. Knight went on to say that the pair had no previous interactions with law enforcement or any reports about domestic violence.

“It was a horrible thing for everybody,” said Knight, adding that “it was certainly most horrible for the young man who woke up and found the carnage.”

Now, the youngster is staying with his relatives.

FOX News received a statement from the Candy family, which was released in the meanwhile.

“Our entire family has been left shattered and confused with so many questions we won’t ever have answers to,” the members of the family said. Everyone was laughing because of Jonathan’s jokes and funny attitude. He was the one who told them.

“With the exception of these occurrences, his whole existence consisted of his wife and four children. I completely do not understand what took occurred, but I ask that you please give your family a hug. The process of healing is going to take a very long time for everyone who has been touched.
