Kelly Osbourne, who is the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon Osbourne, has been a prominent figure in the media for the last two decades. This is because the Osbourne family has been the subject of their own reality television program, titled “The Osbournes,” which debuted in 2002. Due to the fact that Kelly was just 17 years old when the series started, she was forced to mature in the public eye in many different ways. It was not always simple for her since she was subjected to a lot of criticism and attention over her weight from the media. She said to Shape in the year 2020:

“Throughout the most of my life, I have been ridiculed in the media for being overweight and unattractive. I am aware that being evaluated by other people is a natural part of social interaction, but the experience left me feeling utterly broken and destroyed my sense of self-worth.

She had spent a lot of time and effort over the years trying different diets and exercise routines, but she finally made the decision that the year 2020 would be the year she finally succeeded. She shared her journey to a healthier lifestyle on social media and stated that she had shed an astonishing 85 pounds. Kelly has been candid in her comments about how she felt before and after the surgery, and she has taken great pleasure in the outcome.

Kelly, who had been clean for four years before the lockdown that took place earlier in 2021, reverted despite the fact that she had lost weight and was feeling terrific. She is now clean and sober, and she has been open and honest about her recovery process.

It’s easy to say she’s had a terrible couple of years, but in 2021, she opened out to her followers on Instagram and told them, “This last year has been the hardest year of my life” after she got a fat-shaming email from the tabloid National Enquirer. “This last year has been the hardest year of my life,” she said at the time.

Since then, Kelly has gone through a lot of changes, including having a kid and making progress in her mission to lose weight and improve her health.

Kelly’s battle to lose weight started many years ago; however, a significant turning point came about when she had gastric sleeve surgery a few of years ago. She first disclosed this on the “Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn” podcast in the year 2020. In her words:

“All that it does is alter the contours of your stomach,” she said. That was about two years ago now when I acquired it. I promise that I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever lie about it. It is the most rewarding experience I have ever had.

However, Kelly is aware that losing weight is not simply a matter of physical effort; it is also a matter of mental effort on her part. She has already mentioned the need of first mastering the art of loving oneself. She has previously said to Cosmopolitan Body:

“Most people believe that the reason I am so much happier now is because I have shed some pounds. That is not the case: I needed to have an understanding of how to love myself first. Putting up the effort to straighten myself out on the inside first via therapy and losing weight was only one of the many benefits I received from doing so.

On the Hollywood Raw podcast, Kelly went over this point once more. In her words:

“The most important thing for me to accomplish was to learn how to enjoy life. It was necessary for me to repair my mind before I could mend the rest of me. If you are not in the right frame of mind, there is no way you can participate in this.

Kelly even had males from her past come and take their shot with her after she dropped weight, but she was not interested in having them attempt it with her. During an appearance on “The Talk” in the year 2020, she stated that she was “having fun” and that she had rejected seven potential suitors in a single day. She went on to elaborate:

You are aware of what it was, right? It was all the guys who I had previously expressed interest in, but who had all made remarks about, such as, “She’s great, but she’s too fat,” so it was all of those individuals who came back around. So I was like, no, no.”

Kelly had a drinking relapse earlier in April 2021, despite the fact that she had been doing really well on her path up to that point. As stated by People, she communicated the following to her audience:

“This is something that is a bit difficult for me to speak about, but I’ve always told you that I would always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my path to recovery. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I had a relapse. I’m not proud of it at all. But I am on the right path again.”

She claimed at the time that she was sober on that particular day and that she would remain sober beginning the day after that. In addition to this, she said that she will deal with it “one day at a time.” Kelly has reclaimed her sobriety and is moving on with her quest toward greater self-love and improved health.

But at the end of the year 2021, she posted on Instagram stories about how difficult the year had been for her and offered her thoughts on the subject. According to what was published by People, she stated:

“I can honestly say that the last year was the most challenging year of my whole life. I had completely and thoroughly given up hope at that point. I am still in the process of putting myself back together. I feel great joy. Because I am healthy, it is the only thing that should be considered important.

The message was published not long after she disclosed that the National Enquirer had contacted her with an allegation that she had acquired a “tremendous” amount of weight. Kelly sent her followers a screen capture of the email and informed them, “This is what I deal with on a daily basis.” She went so far as to advise her followers that they should “feel free” to write the publication’s editor-in-chief and “tell him what you think about them fat shaming me.”

Kelly’s personal journey has proceeded ahead with her making more progress. The Sun claimed in 2021 that Kelly had undergone surgery in the past to assist her in losing a total of 85 pounds. According to Live Fox Now, she went through more transformations with the birth of her first child in November 2022, which she shared with her lover, Sid Wilson. “Back then, I thought I knew what happiness was, but then I had a baby, and now I know what happiness is,” Kelly said. “I thought I knew what happiness was back then, but now I know what happiness is.”

In the month of May 2023, she uploaded a collection of images and video clips on Instagram that completely shocked her followers. Kelly shared a couple additional photos of herself on social media in which her hair was pulled back, providing her followers with a clearer view of her rapidly diminishing waistline.

All of this was done to get more viewers to watch “Beat Shazam,” a game show in which contestants compete to determine which songs are the most popular. Alongside Nick Cannon, Kelly is serving as a guest host for the program. Kelly said that it was “crazy to think that just your knowledge of music could completely transform your life.” “And being there to witness it unfolding before my very eyes was a breathtaking opportunity.”

Kelly remarked, “I enjoy our collaboration very much.” He is the epitome of professionalism. There is no suspense here. He enters, and it seems as if he just needs one shot. He simply does it.”

People could not believe how different Kelly looked in her social media images as she flaunted her weight loss and sported a lovely purple hairstyle. People were particularly impressed by how much weight she had lost. Several others voiced their disapproval of Kelly’s new look, with one commenting that she had “too much work done on the face.”

Others, on the other hand, complimented the singer on how joyful she seemed. A remark was made by one user saying, “This mumma is stunning.” Someone else complimented your beauty, saying, “You’re so pretty!”
