BernNadette Stanis is expressing her opinion on the controversy that has surrounded the new “Good Times” cartoon, and it is clear that she is not too pleased with this particular adaptation.
She came on ‘TMZ Live’ on Tuesday to tell us how she felt about Netflix’s revived cartoon series, which many people have termed rather retrograde in its representation of a new age. We got the original ‘Good Times’ actress, who played Thelma Evans on the original program, and she came to tell us how she felt about the series.
Look into it, would you? BernNadette claims that she was genuinely asked about becoming a part of the program when she initially informed about it; however, her participation in the show does not seem to have materialized in the end.
It seems that the BS that was presented at the beginning with regard to the idea for the new series was also incorrect in terms of execution. She claims that she was informed that the reboot would be “progressive,” but now that the program is really going to be released, she believes that it is the contrary of what she was told.
For the sake of allowing you to hear her reasoning, we will let you listen for yourself. When it comes down to it, someone failed to understand the purpose of the original comedy, and now she claims that the animation has failed to hit the target.
BernNadette also shares with us the sentiments that the late, great Norman Lear, who was the creator of ‘Good Times,’ had on the concept of a reboot when he was still alive. In this regard, it seems that the whole endeavor may have been misplaced from the very beginning. In any case, BernNadette holds that viewpoint.
The bottom line is that BernNadette is not a fan of what she has seen so far, but she will watch the program after it is completely out before she makes a final decision.
