Beyoncé has done a lot with her new album — especially for Black country artists who might’ve been discouraged from diving into the genre … so says one of her collaborators.

We talked to singer Tiera Kennedy Friday on “TMZ Live,” the same day Queen Bey dropped ‘Cowboy Carter’ to widespread acclaim … and she tells us working on the pop star’s new project was a dream come true.

Tiera, who was featured on the cover of the album “Blackbird,” has said that she never would have imagined that she would be included on a Beyoncé tune, much alone in a country role. However, she has stated that the fact that it occurred is crazy (for the most part, in a positive sense).

Tiera responds that she believes this will be a tremendous advantage for Black musicians who are currently working in the country scene or for those who are interested in breaking into the industry. We ultimately question her what she thinks this will do for them.

Check out the reasons why she believes that Beyoncé has genuinely altered the game for the better. As she explains to us here, Beyoncé is making it very apparent that country music is for all different kinds of people, particularly for those of African descent, who may have felt excluded up until this point.

A great number of obstacles are being overcome, and Tiera is there for all of it, and she is pleased to have contributed to the process.
