The former co-star of Drake Bell, Josh Peck, is rushing to the rescue of his former co-star after fans criticized him for remaining silent in the face of his sexual assault allegations, essentially advising everyone to calm down.
In an effort to clarify his relationship with Josh, the former Nick star took to the internet on Wednesday. He claimed that JP had, in fact, reached out to him after his appearance on ‘Quiet on the Set,’ despite the fact that the majority of people had thought that he had not.
Drake, who disclosed in the documentary series that he was sexually assaulted as a teenager by Brian Peck, a former dialect coach for Nickelodeon, has said that he has seen the excessive amount of hateful comments that have been flooding Josh’s social media accounts over the last few days. He claims that these remarks are undeserved.
During the aftermath of the documentary, Josh has been helpful, as Drake puts it more accurately. Due to the sensitive nature of the issue, Josh’s reach-out has not been made public until now. As a result, it is evident that things are taking on behind the scenes, which not everyone is able to witness.
Drake has said that he has been going through an emotional period in the process of digesting everything that has occurred, which is the reason why some things have been kept out of the public view.
The news of his update came in the midst of allegations that JP had been deliberately disregarding the damaging document on their previous network. The comment section of Josh’s TikTok account even contained a large number of admirers who demanded that he make a statement in favor of DB rather than uploading ridiculous videos.
The relationship between Drake and Josh has been tumultuous as of late, as is obvious. After Drake expressed his displeasure at not being invited to Josh’s wedding, the two men found themselves engaged in a public spat.
Eventually, the two stars gave each other a hug at the 2017 Video Music Awards; nevertheless, even after that, it did not seem that they were very close to one another.
Nevertheless, we are pleased to see that Josh is now rallying with Drake, and we are hopeful that people will heed Drake’s call to fire his old friend.
