Early on Friday morning, the fire broke out at the seven million dollar mansion that Delevingne owned in Studio City, California.
The parents of Cara Delevingne are providing some insight into the circumstances that led to the destruction of their daughter’s house in a major fire that occurred early on Friday morning.
A video that was acquired by TMZ shows that Delevingne’s parents, Charles and Pandora Delevingne, were speaking with a filmmaker in London. They said that “power lines” are to blame for the incident, which occurred after a stormy night. Pandora has indicated that her daughter is “devastated” by the events that have unfolded, as one would anticipate.
Pandora said that during the course of her whole life, she had everything in her home. “She is the one who constructed it. It was up to her.”
At around four minutes before four o’clock in the morning, the house of the model and actress in Studio City, California, caught fire, as was previously reported by ET. More than two hours and 94 firemen were necessary to put out the fire since it was so fierce. The fire was extinguished. In an interview with ET, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department said that there was “heavy fire in the rear, which consumed one room in the rear and developed into a deep-seated attic fire.”
“Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home, and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire exposing the structural members,” the source proceeded to explain. “The house subsequently sustained a roof collapse, as firefighters continued to apply hose streams from the exterior.”
To add insult to injury, the spokeswoman said that one of the firefighters was taken to the hospital in good condition, and that one of the occupants suffered from light smoke inhalation. The reason why Delevingne was not at home at the time was because she was acting at the Playhouse Theater in London. During the time that Charles and Pandora were waiting in line to enter the cinema, the cameraman approached them and inquired about the circumstances behind the home fire.
As a result of the courageous actions of the firemen, it was first believed that Delevingne had lost her two cherished cats in the home fire; however, she subsequently confirmed that her animals were safe and sound. The musical artist Minke, who is Delevingne’s girlfriend, subsequently came to her Instagram Stories to discuss the tragic day and provide an update on the kitties. She also shared her thoughts on the day.
I would like to express my gratitude for the many kind notes received today. The situation has been dreadful, and we are utterly heartbroken,” Minke added. “However, I just received the astounding news that our kids are still alive. These firemen are heroes, and I will never be able to express my gratitude to them enough.
