When he delivered the address to return the wallet to the person who was legally entitled to possess it, he was rewarded in ways that he could not have ever anticipated. Jason Dahlke, Chase Dahlke’s father, applauded Vince but only had a few dollars to offer to the honest fifth grader. Chase Dahlke, who was 17 years old at the time, was not there when Vince called.
When asked about the gift, Jason said, “I was still in awe that someone could make such a beautiful gesture.”
Due to the fact that Chase’s stepmother learned about Vnce’s act of generosity, she made the decision that she wanted to do much more than just gift him a few dollars.
