During his time working for Nickelodeon as a kid actor, Drake Bell is allegedly subjected to sexual assault. He is now coming out about the allegations.

The 37-year-old former child star will make an appearance in the next series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which will be shown on Investigation Discovery. This four-part show is scheduled to run on March 17 and 18 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and Pacific Time.

On Tuesday, ID uploaded a sample of the documentary series on YouTube. The trailer included former cast and staff members of Nickelodeon talking about their time working on the children’s and pre-teen channel. At the end of the film, Bell appears and sits down in a chair.

The clip reveals that former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck, his former dialogue coach. Peck was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Drake and ordered to register as a sex offender, according to a press release that Warner Bros. Discovery shared with PEOPLE. “The clip reveals that Drake Bell will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse ”

Peck was taken into custody by detectives from the Sexually Exploited kid Unit, Juvenile Division of the Los Angeles Police Department at his apartment in Valley Glen on the accusations that he engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior with a kid, as stated in a news statement issued by the LAPD in August of 2003.

Peck was said to have been “coaching the victim” in the news statement, which indicated that the occurrences had occurred around two years prior to the arrest being made.

The investigation against the adult was initiated by the authorities when “the minor’s family reported that Peck had molested the child over a period of six months.”

Detectives said at the time that they felt there may be other victims who had not yet come forward with their information.

According to the allegations, Bell was a victim of sexual abuse when she was 15 years old.

Individuals have attempted to contact both previous and current representatives of Bell in order to get a statement; however, they have not yet received a response.

Additional information on Peck’s criminal background was disclosed by Business Insider on Tuesday. This information refers to the allegations that have been reported.

The source reports that in May of 2004, Peck entered a plea of no contest to the charges of performing a lewd act with a youngster who was either 14 or 15 years old and oral copulation with a minor who was under the age of 16.

A later term of sixteen months in jail was handed down to the conversation coach, and in October of 2004, he was registered as a sexual crime offender.

Between the years 1999 and 2002, Bell had guest appearances on Nickelodeon’s All That and The Amanda Show. In 2004, he was offered a series of his own with the network, which was called Drake & Josh.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV will, according to Warner Bros. Discovery, bring light on the poisonous and hazardous culture that lies behind some of the most famous children’s programs that were produced in the late 1990s and early 2000s when they were produced.

A pattern of rude, abusive, and manipulative conduct that developed over the course of decades is chronicled in the documentary series, which also contains unique tales concerning child predators on set. “The docuseries reveals an insidious environment” that former workers were exposed to, and it includes “emotional accounts.”

It was also said in the announcement that numerous instances that were considered to be “silly” would be re-contextualized via the use of testimony and archive film.
