There is little doubt that the sight of thirteen truck drivers having halted under a bridge, so impeding traffic in both directions, is

When we read stories about people who are kind and who do good for other people, our lives become better. In spite of the fact that it may seem that people’s capacity for empathy is decreasing, there are still those who are always eager to reach out and provide assistance.

The events that were taking place on the roadway, under a bridge on Interstate 696 close to Huntington Woods, Michigan, left everyone bewildered and startled.

People who were driving along this road found themselves trapped in traffic; nevertheless, when they discovered the reason why thirteen trailer trucks were parked in a line without moving an inch, they realized that the wait had been well worth it.

After State Trooper Michael Shaw got an emergency call regarding a person committing suicide by leaping from the bridge, the truck drivers rushed to the situation. Shaw, a highly intelligent guy, soon came up with a brilliant idea, but in order to put it into effect, he hurried to contact a traffic police and asked him to divert the traffic. Shaw’s plan was successful.

Every one of the truck drivers was eager to be of assistance.

Because the trucks were parked under the bridge, they covered the whole area beneath it. This meant that in the event that the authorities and experts were unable to convince the individual to abandon his intentions, the trucks may prevent him from falling straight to the ground, so preventing him from suffering a serious injury.

On the other hand, there was a pleasant ending to this tale, as the guy was hoisted off the bridge and got mental care after four long hours of labor.

Even if it meant patiently waiting for a considerable amount of time, the truck drivers were always prepared to provide a hand.

We are thankful that there are still individuals in the world who are willing to drive without expecting anything in return.
