At the People’s Choice Awards in 2024, Adam Sandler was presented with the People’s Icon Award, which he received after Jennifer Aniston, his close friend, paid a touching homage to him onstage.

As a result of this “miscommunication,” Sandler made the statement that he had written a speech for that accolade rather than the People’s Icon Award. When he started giving his pre-written statement, he introduced himself by saying, “My name is Adam Sandler, and I am the sexiest man alive. Can I get a hell yeah?”
He went on to say, “I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the PEOPLE Magazine academy of hotness and sexual attractiveness for recognizing me as the man who made our entire nation the horniest this year. He was by far the most talked-about person in the bedroom by couples or throuples during fantasy role plays and sloppy time that took place.” Would you mind if I got another hell yeah?

The People’s Choice Awards broadcasters NBC, E!, and Peacock made the announcement on January 31 that Sandler will be the recipient of the People’s Icon Award during the ceremony that will take place on February 18.
