In November of 2022, they were initially connected romantically to one another.
After dating for two years, Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey have decided to end their relationship.
On Friday, Robert, who is twenty years old, posted a joint statement on his Instagram Story. In the message, he claimed that he and his girlfriend “decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all of the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future.”
He concluded by saying “We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journeys on different paths.” At the end of the conversation, Robert said that the former couple would not be providing any additional commentary on the split, and that they “really appreciate your respect and privacy at this time.”
The first time that Robert and Rorie, both 20 years old, were mentioned together was in November 2022, when they were seen out on a date in Queensland. They managed to keep their distance from one another for the most part, but in July 2023, when they attended the premiere of Mission: Impossible – De.ad Reckoning Part One in Sydney, they made their relationship public on the red carpet.
As is the case with Robert, whose father was the late and much-loved zoologist and environmentalist Steve Irwin, Rorie too had a renowned family connection. She is the daughter of Kate Ledger, who is the sister of Heath Ledger, an Australian actor who passed away. Rorie Buckey’s father, Nathan Buckey, is the proprietor of a floor coverings shop, and Kate Buckey is the proprietor of a design and media productions firm. Rorie also has a sister named Scarlett who is similar to her.
Following their premiere on the red carpet, it seemed like everything was going swimmingly for Robert and Rorie. Consequently, Bindi Irwin, Robert’s sister, raved about Rorie in a cute family portrait that also included Chandler Powell, her husband. This is because she adored Rorie so much.
Immediately after the presentation of her mother and brother, Bindi proceeded to bestow upon Rorie the seal of approval.
“My brother’s gorgeous girlfriend, @roriebuckey – Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly and you’ll usually see Grace just following her around because she adores her,” Bindi commented at the time of publication.
At this point in time, it is not known what caused Robert and Rorie to end their relationship.
