He had been a longstanding performer in the science fiction genre, and his ex-wife announced his passing on Facebook.
Gary Graham, an actor who was most known for his appearances in the Star Trek franchise and the television series Alien Nation, has away at the age of 73.

It was on Tuesday when Graham’s ex-wife, the actress Susan Lavelle, broke the news of his passing to her followers on Facebook.

“It is with deep profound sadness to say that Gary Graham, my ex-husband, amazing actor and father of our beautiful only child together, Haylee Graham, has passed away today,” said the actress. “Our whole family, and particularly our daughter Haley, is inutterly heartbroken. Becky, his wife, was the one who was at his side.

Nothing is known about what led to Graham’s loss at this time.

Graham was born on June 6, 1950 in Long Beach, California. He started his acting career in the 1970s, starring on television episodes such as Starsky & Hutch, The Incredible Hulk, and Eight Is Enough during his career.

During the 1980s, he was cast in a number of famous parts, including the role of the brother of Tom Cruise’s character in the film All the Right Moves, which was released in 1983. Prior to that, he was cast in the leading role of Detective Matthew Sikes on the television program Alien Nation. Despite the fact that the series only lasted for one season, Graham would go on to repeat the role in five other television movies.

In the year 2001, Graham became a part of the Star Trek television world when he was cast in the role of Vulcan Ambassador Soval on the television show Star Trek: Enterprise. Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Of Gods and Men, and Star Trek: Renegades were some of the other films in which he appeared.

“Gary was funny, sarcastic sense of humor but kind, fought for what he believed in, a devout Christian and was so proud of his daughter, Haylee,” Lavelle said on her personal Facebook page. Because of the suddenness of this event, we ask that you pray for our daughter as she finds her way through this process that we call sorrow. Soar to great heights in the skies, Gar! I would want to express my gratitude for our journey, as well as for the fact that you have bestowed upon me the talents of acting, my passion for horses, and most significantly, our daughter.

Both Graham’s wife, Becky, and his daughter, Haylee, will go on after his passing.
