Gwen Smith, who was 101 years old at the time, saw Maeva in her bedroom on December 21, 2021, at the Dene Holm care facility in Northfleet, Kent, England. Maeva was born on November 24, 2021.
While Gwen was surrounded by members of her family spanning many generations, the Smiths watched as she cradled her lovely daughter in her arms.
Following the moment when Gwen fell in love with Maeva, she was unable to stop staring at her.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have five generations of my family present,” the Smiths stated.
Because of the workers at the care facility, the Smiths were able to pay a visit to their loved one despite the widespread flu outbreak.
A few days later, in February 2022, Gwen became 101 years old, and the same month, the Smiths announced that she was pleased and happy to have a new family member join the family.
