After seeing C.J. Stroud’s historic first season in the National Football League, Snoop Dogg has said that he has felt like a “proud father.”
The relationship between the Houston Texans quarterback, who is now 22 years old, and the rap artist, who is now 52 years old, began ten years ago when Stroud, then a preteen, began playing in the Snoop Youth Football League. This league is a charitable organization that Snoop formed in 2005 with the intention of providing inner-city children with the opportunity to participate in football.
This season, Stroud led the Texans to the divisional round of the National Football League (NFL), where they were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. Stroud, who had been a member of the Pomona Steelers of that league while he was between the ages of 11 and 13, was responsible for honing his talents.
“I am having a great time watching these games right now. In an interview with The Rich Eisen Show that took place before Saturday’s game, Snoop said, “I don’t even watch for the win.”

Tha Doggfather, a rapper, continued by saying, “I watch for the thrill to see that these kids have turned into grown men and they’re playing big roles on these teams.” It is because they were placed in these settings when they were children that they have been used to the bright lights.
Stroud was described by Snoop as being “so laser-focused” and in a spiritual state.
According to him, “He is so optimistic.” He is putting forward a story that is distinct from that of a great many of the other players in the league, which is one of the things that I like about him. In addition to being a voice of optimism, he is promoting a genuine story of spirits loving one another.
An art-imitating-life event is presently being experienced by the 16-time Grammy nominee, who is currently playing the lead role in The Underdoggs, a new movie that will make its debut on Prime Video on January 26.
In the film, he plays the role of Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, a former professional football player who is now serving as a coach for a pee-wee football team as part of his community service.
As Snoop elaborated on the reasons why he feels like a “proud father” to Stroud and other players that have emerged from his youth league, he said that these sportsmen would forever be his offspring.
“Every kid that plays in my league is considered my baby because it is highly likely that they come in as babies and they leave as men,” he revealed to Eisen about the children that participated in his league. “Despite the fact that they may outgrow my lap, they will never outgrow my heart, which means that they will continue to be my babies,” she said.
As Snoop continued, “When I’m watching them doing their thing, I’m just so proud, so happy,” he made the statement. We would want to give them a shout out for being on the job and doing their duties.
During the 2023 NFL Draft, which took place in April, the Texans selected Stroud with the second overall choice. Stroud was a former player for Ohio State University.
By the end of the regular season, Stroud had accumulated 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns while playing quarterback for the first time. In all, he completed 319 of the 499 passes he threw, resulting in a completion rate of 63.9 percent.
