An overdose has resulted in the death of Adam Harrison, who was the son of Pawn Stars creator and star Rick Harrison. He was 39 years old.
This information was shared with the Las Vegas Review-Journal by Harrison’s agent, Laura Herlovich, who also verified the cause of death and the fact that Harrison was found on Friday.
TMZ was the first news outlet to relay the information that the Harrison family was informed of Adam’s passing on Friday. The circumstances behind Adam’s death remain unclear, including the point in time and location when he overdosed. An inquiry into his death has been initiated, according to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, which verified this information to TMZ.
The news of Adam’s passing has left our family in a state of profound grief. While we are grieving his death, we ask that you respect our request for privacy,” Herlovich said in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal on behalf of the Harrison family.
Among the children that Rick Harrison and his ex-wife, Kim, had, Adam was the second kid. As Corey Harrison’s younger brother, he is his younger brother. Following the remarriage of Rick with his second wife, Tracy, the pair became parents to a boy named Jake.
It should be noted that Adam did not appear in the unscripted series that starred Rick and Corey. According to reports, Adam was employed at Gold & Silver Pawn previous to the broadcast of the series in 2009. Nevertheless, according to TMZ, he has not been employed at the pawn store in recent times.
PEOPLE’s request for further information on Friday was not immediately met with a response from Herlovich or the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
