Both Gus and Ozzie are the actress’s sons, and she is their mother.

Mandy Moore is taking some time to talk about her experience as a mother.

In a post that she published on Instagram on Tuesday, the former cast member of This Is Us said that she had been informed at one point that she would not be able to have a child.

I’ve always had the desire to become a mother. Prior to the arrival of my two sons into the world with my beloved, @taylordawesgoldsmith, I fulfilled the role of a mother to a multitude of cats and, at times, just as many dogs (and I must confess, I continue to be a mother to both of them even now). But there was a point when I speculated that I may not be able to have children in the future. When I was seeing the doctor, he informed me that there was a very little possibility that I would get pregnant… The actress, who is 39 years old, uploaded a photo of herself on social media with a picture of herself when she was a youngster. “And then, to our utter surprise, I became pregnant with Gus,” she said.

In the article, which was also published on the Instagram account for This Was Us, Moore discussed how her job as Rebecca Pearson, the matriarch of the Pearson family, had prepared her for her voyage.

“Motherhood is a beautiful, messy, sleepless gift and to have two kiddos under two…whew!!!😮‍💨,” according to her. “Actually, playing Rebecca on #ThisIsUs helped me get ready for it a little bit. It was like changing a diaper for the first time and running around set with “triplets.” The experience of being a mother on This Is Us to triplets who were in different phases of life and now being a mother to Gus and Ozzie has taught me that no matter how hard you try and how carefully you intend to do things, it is impossible to “get it right” every single time.

Moore concluded her lecture by quoting one of the most significant lines from her character.

It was Rebecca Pearson who put it best when she remarked, “It is my job to keep standing there with my arms wide open, waiting for you to maybe someday fall inside if you needed it.” And I will adore you if you do,” she stated in her letter. “And even if you don’t, I will still love you, because that is what it means to be a parent,” she said. In due time, you will see.” And to that, I respond, Rebecca, I understand what you mean! #ThisIsUs and #ThatWasUs @thatwasus are on Twitter.

Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, have two children together: August “Gus,” who is 3, and Oscar “Ozzie,” who is 1.

In the year 2021, the actress who played Dr. De.ath spoke more on her reproductive journey and explained the reasons why she was anxious about revealing the news of her unexpected pregnancy.

While Moore was preparing for surgery to correct a problem with her uterus, she received the news that she was pregnant with Gus. Moore revealed this information in an interview with Romper, where she also appeared with her baby belly.

“Because of this issue with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and put any stock in it,” she recalls saying at the time. “I sort of was holding my breath until 12 weeks.”

There is no doubt that Gus and Ozzie are definitely keeping the mother of two on her toes.

Moore confessed that her eldest son is not pleased by the fact that she is a Disney star in a post that she published in December. The post was amusing and seemed to be from her time spent at Disneyland with her children.

“Gus isn’t interested in Tangled and really couldn’t care less that mom and Rapunzel are ‘close friends,'” the actress who portrayed Rupunzel in Tangled said. “Gus isn’t interested in Tangled.” The situation would be different if I had known Lightning McQueen. 🤷‍♀️ But that is not the case. We are grateful to Disney Parks for hosting us. You have always been very magical, but seeing the world through Gus’s eyes is a whole other experience.
