In the month of October, a friend of the bride who was located in New York provided her with a real helping hand in order to finish off her surprise engagement.

When David Koske, who is now Nicolette Koske’s husband, proposed to her by getting down on one knee and popping the question, she couldn’t wait to show off her ring at the reception.

The size of the object, on the other hand, prevented her from taking any cute photographs in the grassy site where Nicolette’s closest friend, Isa Haiti, had enticed her to take “couple photos” with their boyfriends. This was a cover to conceal David’s intention to propose to her.

The good news is that Nicolette was able to devise a solution, and her best friend was there to assist her. Haiti put on the ring and stood next to the pair, but she was just out of frame. Her hand was adorned with jewelry, and she posed as if it were the bride’s hand since she was wearing it.

In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Nicolette presented the picture result and described how Haiti was instrumental in capturing the moment. The video was synced to the tune “Marry You” by Bruno Mars.

Nicolette wrote in the text that was superimposed on top of the original text, “When [you] get engaged but the ring is too small so your best friend comes in clutch.” “No one will know 🤫,” she was quoted as saying in the description of the video.

The video, which has since received close to two million views, has pleased fans of TikTok, and some of them have even been fooled into believing that Haiti’s hand is really Nicolette’s.

Someone took the time to comment on the post, saying, “It’s not me thinking your foundation color was too light.” Someone other said in their letter, “I would have never known if you hadn’t said anything!”

Several commentators expressed their admiration for the successful work that Haiti, a faithful friend, had done. One remark read, “She had her nails cute and everything 😂😂😂.”

Nicolette tells PEOPLE that they were putting a twist on another TikTok that she had seen previously, despite the fact that their cunning optical trick was successful in fooling some viewers on the platform.

“Someone got engaged, and her nails weren’t done, so she used her friend’s manicured hands for pictures,” Nicolette tells about the source of her inspiration describing the situation. The idea occurred to me, and I thought it would be hilarious to place the ring on my best buddy, who is of African descent, and make it seem as if it was on my hand, which is of Hispanic descent. That was, without a doubt, the joke.”

Nicolette and David, who tied the knot on New Year’s Eve, brought the ring to be properly fitted only two days after Haiti’s amazing assistance. However, the newlywed wife claims that she was not very concerned about the first fit of the ring.

“When I realized that the ring was too small, it did not make a difference,” she repeated. As Nicolette explains to People, “I was only disappointed that I was unable to show it off in an appropriate manner.”
