A wedding ceremony has taken place between Gerry Turner, who was on The Golden Bachelor, and Theresa Nist, who was his fiancée.

The couple, Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, who were engaged on the very first episode of the Bachelor spinoff, exchanged their vows in a live, televised ceremony on Thursday night at the La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California. The wedding was presided over by Susan Noles, a fan favorite, and was also shown on television.

The bride, who was dressed in a breathtaking gown by Badgley Mischka, was escorted down the aisle by her son Tom before to the beginning of the bridal event.

The words “I can’t even tell you how excited I am right now and how grateful I am to welcome you all here to celebrate this love that these two have found” were said by Noles.

Regarding those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I just do not understand why. “My name is Susan, and I am the reserved and quiet one on the show,” she said, making a humorous reference to her exuberant demeanor.

In her statement, Noles expressed her belief that “fate” was the driving force for their union. She went on to say that “30,000 people and you were both chosen to be on The Golden Bachelor.”

It is never, ever too late to discover love, she stated, “You have both given us all so much hope that it is never, ever too late to find love.”

Prior to the exchange of vows, Angie and Jenny Turner, the daughters of the couple, delivered a statement in which they expressed their joy at the prospect of Nist being a member of their family.

“We’re beyond thrilled that you’ve brought us together as a family,” Jen, Nist’s daughter, said in her own speech as she celebrated the couple’s wedding. “We would like to thank you for bringing us together.”

She told Turner, “Okay, take good care of my best friend since birth,” and then she went on to say, “And mom put him first throughout his life.” I have no doubt that you and Gerry are going to have the most amazing life together when you are married. Honestly, I am unable to express how happy I am for you and your family. What lies ahead is something that I can’t even wait to find out. Both of you are incredibly dear to my heart.

Although Nist was wearing her “birthday suit” at the time of their first encounter, she was overcome with emotion and broke down into tears.

She said, “I began to believe that there might be something between us,” and she expressed her belief. In addition, I was able to see you as the most amazing, kind, and sensitive human being, as well as a guy of honor and integrity, and I developed a deep affection for you. You have my love. It is your heart and your soul that I adore. I like the way you laugh and grin at the same time. Together, we have such a good time that we laugh till we are crying. Many obstacles have been encountered by us, one of which being a near-death incident that occurred on a highway in California.

She went on to say, “We share the same profound love for our family.” “We have a great deal of love to spread, and now there are a great deal more individuals with whom we may share it. I pledge to remain calm in the midst of the storm, to console you when you are feeling down, to share in your joy when you are experiencing it, and to be by your side throughout it all, but above all else, I will make sure that we have a good time. “For the remainder of the days that we have left on this earth, which has the potential to be an additional hour.”

She continued by saying, “I love you with every single fiber of my being, and I cannot wait to be your wife.”

After after, it was Turner’s chance to speak, and he informed the audience, “From the very first taste of chocolate shake to the very last taste of Costa Rican coffee, I discovered that you are the woman I simply cannot live without.” I discovered that the mere act of touching your hand may bring me a sense of serenity. With the ease and comfort of long-lost friends, you have shown me that you have the ability to make me laugh.

Another thing that he said was, “I’ve realized that you are a powerful and self-reliant woman.” It is your strength that brings me happiness. Having you in my life has taught me that you make me a better person, a better one… As a result, Theresa, I am certain that I have met a complete companion with whom I can share all of the events that life throws at us.

He went on to say, “I pledge to make you the person I love each and every day, and I will never take your heart for granted.” During the day, I will yell out “I love you,” and when it is nighttime, I will whisper it to you quietly. I assure you that I will keep you secure. Moreover, I assure you that I will console you during times of difficulty and provide you an abundance of delight at moments of greatness.

In addition, he made a solemn promise to maintain care of her reading glasses and shoes, and he added, “You were the love that quietly and unexpectedly came into my life.” Thank you for being genuine, Theresa; you have my heart, and I have yours.

Afterwards, Noles was given the rings by his grandson Henry, who was six years old and acted as the ring bearer. Noles had a difficult time removing the rings from the cushion. The couple kissed each other after exchanging rings and taking a minute to stare into one other’s eyes before taking the next step of the process.

Jen, Nist’s daughter, carried out the role of maid of honor for her. Additionally, Amanda, who is Nist’s daughter-in-law, served as a bridesmaid alongside Angie and Jenny, who are Turner’s children.
