The memorial service for Jimmy Carter’s late wife, Rosalynn Carter, took place earlier this week. Jimmy Carter, dressed in a black suit and tie, made a rare public appearance at the event.
When the former president decided against receiving any more medical treatment, he entered hospice care in February. He was there to provide assistance to his wife during the last hours of her life before she passed away.
During the memorial ceremony for Rosalynn, which took place at the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Carter was reportedly seen sitting in his wheelchair with the assistance of his younger children.

Before the memorial service, Jason Carter, the grandson of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, gave an update on his grandfather’s health and said that the 39th President of the United States will not be around for too much longer.
Beginning when they were small children in Plains, Georgia, Rosalynn Carter and Jimmy Carter had spent virtually their entire lives together. They had been together for this whole time.
Because of this, it was only natural for the two individuals to be together during the last hours of Rosalynn’s life on Saturday, November 19. In spite of the fact that the passing of the former First Lady was not unexpected – after all, she was 96 years old – the time that she spent on our planet has been widely celebrated by a huge number of people ever since she passed away.

According to the reports, Rosalynn passed away on November 19 at 2:10 p.m. at her residence in Plains, Georgia. Alongside her husband, the former First Lady served in the White House from 1977 to 1981. However, she has continued to engage in humanitarian work via the Carter Center in the years that have passed since her tenure as First Lady.
Over the course of the last year, Rosalynn and Jimmy’s health has seen a decline, which is quite unfortunate. In February, Jimmy Carter took the decision to forego medical treatment for a number of different health issues, and he started receiving hospice care.
There is a widespread consensus that Jimmy’s health will swiftly worsen now that Rosalynn has left the picture.
The New York Post received a statement from his grandson, Jason Carter, who seemed to confirm this information prior to the memorial service for Rosalynn.
In his observation, he said, “He is nearing the end of his life, and he is very, very physically diminished.”
Although he has been a moral pillar for a great number of individuals, she was the one who really served as that pillar for him.
A letter that Jimmy Carter had written to his wife when he was serving in the Navy abroad was read aloud by Amy Carter, the couple’s daughter, during the emotional memorial service for Rosalynn Carter.
“My darling, whenever I have ever been away from you, I have been thrilled when I returned to discover just how wonderful you are,” he said in the letter. “I have never been able to get over how wonderful you are.” It seems as if I am falling in love all over again whenever I see you.
