Have you ever considered the possibility that snapping a selfie may end up saving your life? In any case, it has become a reality. Christopher Precopia was taken into custody without warning at his place of employment in connection with a terrible incident that occurred two years ago. This was something that he had not even really anticipated at all. I mean, picture yourself going to your usual employment, only to find a squad of police officers waiting there to arrest you when you get there.

His former sweetheart from a very long time ago turned up to be his accuser. In point of fact, they had not spoken with one another in some time and had not spent much time in close proximity to one another since they had dated in high school. It was unfortunate that, as is the case in the majority of circumstances like this, it came down to her word vs his. The oral remarks and hearsay did not present a favorable picture of Christopher Precopia. His accuser alleged that he forced his way into her house and physically attacked her, despite the fact that he was exonerated of the charges. She went so far as to say that Christopher had hacked a ‘X’ into her skin with a box cutter just above her chest.

According to the reports, he had described the whole occurrence as a nightmare. It came as a total and full surprise to him. His parents were able to pay the astronomical bail amount of $150,000 by taking out loans in their own names. It was his own mother who, thankfully, was able to demonstrate her son’s innocence. At the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Texas, where the incident is said to have taken place, Christopher Precopia was reportedly taking a photo with his family at the time. His accuser alleged that he attacked her around 7:20 p.m., which was more than seventy miles distant from the time that the selfie was taken, which was dated at 7:02. The judge and the jury were in agreement that it was unreasonable to expect him to go such a distance in such a short amount of time (just 18 minutes). Soon after, all allegations against him were dropped.

After then, his ex-girlfriend revealed that she had been lying about what had occurred. She said that her connection with Precopia was fraught with conflict. Unfortunately, Christopher still has to cope with the allegations and the incident even to this day. In spite of the fact that he was exonerated and pronounced not guilty, he was judged to be guilty in the court of public opinion. Because of this criminal offense, he was not accepted into the United States Army any time in the recent past.
