Following Tuesday’s festivities honoring Taylor Swift, the couple that was removed talked with ET about their experience.

Harry Jowsey’s adventure on Dancing With the Stars came to an end on Tuesday as he and his pro-partner Rylee Arnold were eliminated from the competition at the end of Taylor Swift Night. The season had been a long and challenging one for Jowsey, who had been in the competition from the beginning.

After being eliminated on Tuesday night, ET’s Deidre Behar talked with the two contestants, and Jowsey, who is 26 years old, described the experience as being “bittersweet.”

We’ve come this far, and now I’m thinking, ‘Ugh, there are only two weeks left!'” Come on, Harry, what gave you such a bad reputation?'” Jowsey was kind enough to share. “But to be able to live out someone else’s dream with them is the single most rewarding thing, you know what I mean? Since she was a small kid, Rylee’s most important goal has been to one day be able to come to this place.

Rylee Arnold, age 18, is the younger sister of Lindsay Arnold, a former winner on Dancing With the Stars. This was Rylee’s first season competing on the famous program as a professional dancer.

“She watched her sister do it and now she’s doing it, it’s so incredible,” according to Harry. “To be like a small part in such an incredible story is the biggest takeaway for me, so yeah, it’s been incredible.”

Arnold concurred with her coworker and said, “It’s a bittersweet feeling because we’ve come so far!” And I am very appreciative for the whole of the experience.

“I’m so happy with how everything went and I’m so grateful I was paired with Harry, and I’m just so proud of him,” said the actress. “It was seriously so enjoyable the whole time.”

Even though Jowsey and Arnold frequently found themselves in last place on the leaderboard, they were able to stay in the competition thanks to the support of the viewers. Many viewers were impressed and inspired by Jowsey’s determination to keep trying and keep working at learning how to dance, despite the fact that he was very open about being nervous to do so at the beginning of the season.

When questioned about the aspect of his time spent on the program of which he is the most proud, Jowsey said that it was the way he continued “throwing myself into such a scary situation, and trying something so new.”

“I’m [also] so proud of her, at 18, to be able to boss this tall sausage around and put up with me when I’m hangry,” he remarked in reference to Arnold. “And just seeing her patience and her drive and her wanting to work really hard.”

“You know, it’s been pretty much every night where we haven’t had the best scores,” he said further. “But for her to talk me out of whatever hump I’m in and just put on a brave face, it’s just been incredibly mature.”

During the celebration for Taylor Swift that took place on Tuesday, Jowsey and Arnold performed a rumba set set to Swift’s hit “August.” They received a score of 30 out of a possible 40 points for the dance, which put them in the position of second-to-last on the leaderboard.

However, by the end of the night, they were eliminated from the competition after losing to Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber in their dance relay. This very certainly ensures that they will not be able to continue competing when the program advances to the semifinals.

Arnold still has more that she wants to accomplish on the program, despite the fact that in her first year as a professional she did not make it all the way to the finals. Arnold responded with an enthusiastic “I hope so!” when she was asked whether she will continue her professional career in the next season. Let’s make it a reality!”

Jowsey kiddedly added, “Hey, I might be back as a pro [too],” when the topic was brought up again. “You’ve seen me dance.”
