Animals are wonderful companions in life because they provide inexplicable pleasure and emotional support to the people around them. Because of this, when a person is unwell and it is anticipated that they will die away soon, many people wish to spend one final moment with their cherished animal companion.

This is what occurred to an older lady named Jackie Stalter, who, sadly, received the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a kind of blood cancer that arises from plasma cells in a person’s bone marrow, as well as renal failure. Jackie Stalter passed away as a result of her illnesses.

Since she was diagnosed with her illness, her family made the difficult decision to place her in a hospice where trained medical experts could monitor her condition and ensure that she received the necessary medical care. Even though she was surrounded by the people she loved, there was still something that appeared to be lacking from her life: horses. Horses had become a significant part of her life.

In November 2023, 9News published an interview with Stalter that was conducted by the news organization and released on YouTube. During the course of the discussion, the elderly woman compared horses to humans by stating that “they love the way people love, and they care the way people care.”

It looked as if the elderly woman had the right idea since, in accordance with a piece of writing that was released by Deer Creek Structures in 2015, horses are among of the most faithful creatures that anyone could ever want to encounter.

They have an excellent memory, and the most of them would remember a person they interacted with for a very long time if they did so for a short period of time. This is one of the reasons why they make such wonderful friends.

According to the source, when humans behave kindly toward horses, the animals will respond in a similarly favorable manner in return.

A chaplain who was working with the Advent Health Porter Hospice tried their best to talk with persons who might assist them acquire a horse so that they could give Stalter one more opportunity to connect with one, and happily, Praying Hands Ranch came to the rescue. Stalter was able to spend his last moments with a horse.

On the day when they first met, the ranch delivered a brown horse, and the elderly lady replied, “If I could. I’d put the pressure on him.

It seemed as if Stalter had an innate affinity for horses since the animal didn’t make a racket as it approached her, and she welcomed the mare with a kind “oh baby.”

Stalter could be seen in the video seated in a wheelchair as her daughter, who was clearly affected by the events taking place, sat alongside her and acknowledged the gravity of the moment.

“This is probably the last time she’ll get to see a horse, and so that’s really special that we were able to share that with her,” the daughter said. “That’s really special that we were able to share that with her.”

Stalter’s daughter went on to say that ever since her mother became ill, one of the things that she has been striving to do for her is to set up a meeting between her mother and a horse.

The daughter commented on the Praying Hands Ranch’s efforts by stating, “It just really shows my family that there are kind people out there that care for more than just themselves and like to see other people happy.” “It just really shows my family that there are kind people out there that care for more than just themselves and like to see other people happy,”

Later on in the video, Stalter, who had her very first ride on a horse when she was only three years old, was pushed down the path while the animal walked with her, and she looked to be quite content with their relationship.
