In February of 2024, the first episode of the first portion of the last season of the police procedural will be shown.

Blue Bloods, a popular police procedural drama on CBS, will soon come to an end.

The conclusion of the series, which stars Tom Selleck in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, will come with the airing of its 14th and final season in the following year, according to an announcement made by the network on Monday. The season will be broken up into two parts.

CBS has announced that the debut of Season 14 will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10 p.m. PT/ET, and that the program will return in the autumn of 2024 to air its final episodes.

“Blue Bloods will forever be a beloved part of CBS’ legacy,” stated Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, in a joint statement. Both presidents are credited for the remark. “It ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance since its premiere and established itself as a pillar of our winning lineup with an exceptionally devoted fan base.”

“We’ll be forever grateful to the legendary Leonard Goldberg for developing this signature series and to the amazing cast led by Tom Selleck, who America embraced as family and watched as welcomed guests at the Reagan dinner table,” they said further. “We also sincerely thank the incredible writing and producing teams guided by executive producer Kevin Wade, for years of compelling episodes as they conceive this final chapter that we expect to be the most satisfying season yet for our loyal viewers.”

When it came time for Selleck to bid goodbye to the long-running program, he shared his sentiments as follows: “For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family.” Working with such wonderful actors, writers, producers, directors, and crew members has been a dream come true, and I am thrilled to have been a part of such an outstanding company for more than 275 episodes. We would want to extend our appreciation to CBS Studios and the CBS Network for their unwavering support, and we would also like to extend our gratitude to the people who came to dinner with us every Friday night.

Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray are also a part of the cast of this series, which has consistently ranked among the best performers in the Friday night primetime slot.

“It has been an incredible honor to be able to paint the enormous canvas that Leonard Goldberg created over the course of the previous thirteen years. The story is a police procedural presented from the point of view of four generations of a close-knit family that is passionately devoted to one another. “Blue Bloods will leave behind an enduring legacy that was collectively achieved by our extraordinary cast, our talented and tirelessly inventive writers, and the best crew in the business,” said the show’s executive producer, Kevin Wade. “CBS Studios and the CBS Television Network encouraged us to tell our stories in multi-layered narratives that have gone on to resonate with millions of people, and we thank them for their unwavering partnership and collaboration. We were able to tell our stories in a way that has continued to resonate with millions of people.” We are eternally thankful to our fans for their unwavering support and excitement over the years, and we look forward to surprising them with a final season that is both thrilling and emotionally fulfilling.
